No, I didn't get everything but that is perfectly fine. I happen to find satisfaction in working for my worldly goods. Maybe I'm an oddball, but obtaining something you want (no matter how big or small) through hard work seems to bring more pleasure than just having it given to you. I don't know, maybe it was the way I was raised but while gifts are great and all, nothing beats a hard-earned gift given to "me", from "me".
Iam in my 80's and really didnt want anything, just wanted everyone to be happy. But they didnt listen to me and got me some books, (I will have to live to be 100 to get them all read), gift cert gander mountain, itunes gift card (download some audio books when we travel) Iam very grateful.
Irish~ Those are the Christmas's to treasure. My grandmother passed away in September, her presence was missed. But we shared our favorite Christmas memories of her and all agreed our last Christmas with her was the best out of all of them...she was thriving, laughing, living, and having a lot of fun.
yes, yes, yes, lol, everything was very nice!i was very thankful that my family and all my family members had plenty of food, and a warm house and presents.and i was even able to help a few others with food,:)thats all one can ask for, only thing is,i didnt get that darn escalade i wanted(hahahahaha)guess that will have to wait til next year.wishing everyone the best, and my wish for the new year is for people to find work.happy holidays!!!!!!!
The best gift for me was the "presence" of my wife and kids all gathered around our tree in our blessed home, all "wrapped" up in each other........God is great.
Had a great time with family and grandbabies. We all had a nice Christmas. For how bad 2010 was financially, the kids really got some nice presents. Glad we all could get together and spend quality time. On the other hand, I am glad it is over. I made it through with a smile and a good mood, so that is an accomplishment for me!
I got to visit with family members. I got to see that everyone was in good health. I got to see smiles from everyone even though the economy sucks and many of us were laid off and looking for work. I got to participate in celebrating Jesus' birthday. I'd say I made out like a bandit.

Wanted my husband to live. He didn't. Got closer to my stepchildren. It's really not about the money or gifts.

I dropped tons of hints this year and didn't really get any of them. I know its not about gifts but I really could of used a new tire or two.

If I didn't get any presents that would have been fine. Just hanging out with the family makes it a great day.
