Summerfest is a Southeastern Wisconsin hallmark! A 10 day festival of Food, Drink and Music since 1968. If you have never been to Summerfest you have no Idea what youre missing! If you have been to Summerfest and have suffered a bad experience, join the clud! Im sure you could have experience that same problem at a church festival in Clinton. Yet if you have expeienced Summerfest as I have for the past 30 years you would have nothing but fond memories of some great times, food and music. I can truely say that the only thing about Summerfest I do not like would be the ever rising costs of admission, food and drink. But hey, everything else has risen too, well except our wages! LOL
Do yourself a favor next summer, go to Summerfest! Have some Fun! Get there early and stay late!

Festivals,once common place,once common safety not a problem.Today,you risk life and limb.Society's babying the criminals,giving into totally ridiculous demands by criminals,their families,the ACLU,etc.,are what has brought us to this life style! Arizona,like it or not,is the only solution.America absolutely must take back control of our festivals,block parties,sports and more. We need to put "rights" back into AMERICAN CITIZEN RIGHTS! My Husband and I went last Friday and saw the Scorpions at Harley Davidson's Roadhouse and they rocked. We even had nice lady give us free admission tickets while waiting for the shuttle bus in Waukesha. Great time!

Food is expensive, but for $15 bucks you get to see dozens of bands and other acts, socialize with your friends and just get out of town. I take my daughters every year and we have a blast. I think it's reasonable as long as you don't get crazy on the beer and food.

my schedule hasn't allowed me to go for several years. I used to go every year at least once, sometimes several days...ahhh, apparently it's the price of having a grown up job...(kind of funny, cuz now my grown up job is to go to college...)

Lay off the concrete comments, will you? That is just plain rude! Grow up and look at the world without your rose colored glasses on! And I am with the "too much drinking" part. Heat and booze do NOT mix well.

Too much drinking? This is Wisconsin in the summer! They only serve beer. There is just as much drinking at local fests. Great concerts, shows, and a lot to do there.

Why do concrete and alcohol seem so synonymous?

If you've never been, how do you know there is too much drinking? Or do you mean, you can't go because you've done too much drinking?
