If the Brewers get home field advantage, they win it all. I'll enjoy teasing friends and relatives...want a Packers or Brewers jersey? Not to mention the Badgers lol.
Actually. uncle, based on Major League Baseball figures attendance in Wrigley Field has averaged 90% this year (2010:92%, 2009:96%, 2008:99%)but the trend is downward. That's still pretty good and beats Miller Park's 88% (2010:81%, 2009:88%, 2008:89%). The two stadiums have relatively equal capacity (Wrigley: 41,159 Miller: 41,900).
The Cubs do have a very loyal, albeit frustrated, fan base. I've attended several games in Wrigley and it's always been an enjoyable experience though getting on the Red Line afterward is a challenge.
Say what you want about the Cubs. They may stink but they have the best fan base of all major league teams. If the Brewers were 20 games out of first place, Miller Park would be a ghost town for the rest of the season. Yet while the Cubs have been out of the playoff picture since before the All Star break, they continue to sell out game after game.
As a Cubs fan I have to say I wish the Brew Crew well. NVgrf - I did see your comment last week about being a Cubs and Cardinals fan....how is that even possible? Thats like saying you are a Packers and a Bears fan! Anyway, baseball has been done for me since about April 15th so I am glad football is starting! Go Badgers and Pack!!!
spark you can ignore NV when it comes to sports. blinded by loyalty with little substance results in a slightly juvenile discussion. like 'Brewers?....World Series?.....LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL'... despite the fact that we do, unquestionably, have one of the best teams in baseball. is it a foregone conclusion that they make it?? absolutely not, but the prospect of them making it surely isnt laughable by any adult who knows anything about baseball.
I didn't say they would make the World Series. What I am saying is that the Cubs and Cardinals choked and the Brewers are on top of their game. Rightfully so, they deserve the credit.
NVgrf - Apparently you haven't been paying attention to baseball much. Coming from someone that was routing for the Cubs and Cards. How'd that work out for you? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Don't believe the Brew Crew can beat the Phillies ...
