Dane deputy wounds man
CAMBRIDGE – A Dane County Sheriff’s Deputy shot and wounded a Cambridge man early this morning, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
Jacob Prochnow, 28, suffered "serious but non-life threatening injuries," according to the release.
The deputy was dispatched to Cambridge around 2:09 a.m. Saturday for a report of a suicidal man. The deputy found and chased Prochnow on foot. Prochnow entered an alley and told the deputy he had a gun and made a motion as if to draw the gun from behind him. At that point the deputy fired, according to the release.
Prochnow had been declared absent without leave from the Jefferson County Jail on Oct. 3. He was serving an eight-month sentence with work-release privilege for fourth-offense driving while intoxicated.
The shooting will be investigated by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office and will then be reviewed by the Dane County District Attorney’s Office, according to the release.

Oh enough whining because Wisconsin is running out of cheese!
The dumb- whatever he is, doesn't deserve to be out where he can 'accidentally' get behind the wheel again. 'oops Mr. Officer, no I didn't realize I was driving and driving. OR that I had 4 previous DWIs. I'm sorry, will you just write it so the prosecutors will give me another slap on the wrist so I can see you out here again? Thanks, bud.'
Thank you to the deputy that shot at him. It wasn't his shot that was off. It the shot would've been 'off,' it would've taken Prochnow's breath away for good.

Here we go again...
Ridiculous amount of DWI's and free...check
Idiot with a Huber "jail term" walks away...check
How about we start sending these multiple DWI felons to prison where they belong? Enough of this Huber bull as well. I'll pay more in taxes to keep these idiots locked up. If they want to keep their jobs, they shouldn't get arrested. Methinks lazy prosecutors and sheriffs like the Huber program at the expense of public safety.

Unfortunately Milton, freedom of speech doesnt apply to blogs or forums. The blog/forum owner can dictate what is allowed and what isnt.
I do agree though they do get carried away with removing posts that arent even close to being in bad taste. Best thign for them to do is to just remove the blogs and just install a message board and require registration for posting.

At least he left on foot and not in a car; looks like he was learning his lesson...and then he got shot.

Fourth offense drunk driving... our laws have allowed this to happen. The hammer needs to come down harder on first offense drunk drivers.
