"Interstate traffic open in all directions" sounds like a four-way street.

Before you all pass judgement, please remember some people have medical conditions. This happened to me two years ago. I had no history of a seizure disorder. One day, I was driving along, I had seizure while driving my car. Since then, I have been on medications and my seizures are under control. My point being, please do not judge until one knows the facts.

I was on the interstate heading to Madison this AM when I came up over the bridge to the accident scene - it must have just happened - people were stopping and pulling over. One man in a red truck with Firefighter license plates pulled over, jumped out, grabbed his emergency kit and ran to help - what a hero. All that helped are heroes.

"I thought Med flight was for life threatening injuries?"
You have to keep in mind mechanism of injury. She hit a semi and was ejected. The possibility for life threatening injuries is there and merits the helicopter. EMS personale don't have x-ray eyes and cant see broken bones or internal bleeding.
Say you're in an accident with 4 people, and three of them die on the scene. You're going to probably get a helicopter ride because the accident was severe enough to kill three people.
Better safe than sorry.

I thought Med flight was for life threatening injuries? I hope everyone turns out to be okay. With winter coming I hope more people slow down and pay attention. Driving on the interstate Thursday night when it was raining was horrible. People driving 80 mph. Spraying people doing the speed limit so visibility was almost impossible. I just wish people would take their own lives and others with more thought.

AP Report:
A woman driving on Interstate 39/90 near Janesville Monday morning struck the rear end of a semi trailer not once but twice before losing control of her car and rolling it several times before being ejected from the car.
Linda Smith, 43, Beloit, was taken by MedFlight to UW Hospital in Madison with non-life threatening injuries following the crash that occurred about 7:20 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the interstate near mile marker 166.
The Wisconsin State Patrol said Smith was driving a Pontiac Grand Am, striking the rear of the semi trailer truck driven by Donald Hvidsten, 59, South Dakota.
After she struck the semi, she overcorrected her steering and struck it a second time before losing control.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is continuing.

I thought seatbelts were to be used to keep you in the car. Getting thrown out isn't a good option. Cars have rolled over passengers and killed them because they didn't want to wear a seat belt.
