MILTON -- Rock County authorities are reporting a continued spike in thefts of copper from foreclosed or vacant homes. As the housing market continues to clear out a glut of bank-owned properties, police say burglars are staking out homes with for-sale or foreclosure signs and then breaking in to steal anything made of copper.
