On Redacted truth, subjunctive outrage

Oh come on Wally--A comparison of Clinton to Obama is hardly apples to apples. Clinton enjoyed a period of great economic growth fueled by the dot com boom and a housing market which was on the rise. There was also a much more respectful relationship between Clinton and the legislative branch that certainly isn't there with Obama. The "scandal" that you refer to involving Clinton isn't even in the same league as the one(s) that Obama is attempting to mitigate. Clinton's involved stepping out on Hillary to have a little fun with some cigars and a starry eyed intern--something that we could all understand. Obama's scandals involve American servicemen dying, intentionally deceiving the American public for political gain, government agencies using their power to undermine people that disagree with the current administration, etc. You honestly consider that an "apples to apples" comparison?

Concerned....so now you're considering an anti-union viewpoint as "not caring about the people of the state"?? Here's a news flash for you--many of us who put Walker in office(twice) have considered the modern unions as the very definition of toxic and corrupt. So yes, when Walker made a pledge to rid our great state of them, he was expressing concern for the people of Wisconsin.

"They're just throwing everything at President Obama and hoping something sticks. I wonder if they realize how strong he will look if he comes through all this unscathed."

I don't know Waldo. I realize that your most likely basing your idea on what had happened with Governor Walker and how he completely dominated the democrats/unions by winning over 80 percent of the WI counties in the recall election after knocking the unions off of their pedestals, but I just don't think Obama will have those same results. He doesn't have the control over the government that Walker enjoyed and now has members of his own party turning against him. As for Clinton running, she just doesn't look the part lately. With the health problems she has faced and the way the last couple of years seemed to have aged her dramatically, I don't know if she has it in her. I'm sure that old dog Bill would love to have her occupied for a couple of years though. That way he could pursue other "interests" while she's putting out fires in Washington:)

Stubbs--Every Wisconsin resident I know is working. If you're having issues, it's more than likely due to your attitude and/or ambition level. Put a little effort into those areas and your luck will surely turn around!

Anal--Yep, that totally explains it. No doubt a liberal judge in CA, living off of a taxpayer funded salary, pension and benefit package and completely disconnected from the financial mess that many of the state's residents are being asked to support. Considering that Walker has made public employees more responsible in providing their own benefits and pension contributions, there is no doubt that your taxpayer supported buddy would speak out against him. Thanks for helping to make my point:)

Analcitizen/wasp......your experiences regarding people "out west" directly contridict my experience with friends and family that live out west. Granted my friends and family that live out there are all well employed and don't look to the government to support them. That probably explains our differences in experiences......

Woods.....It's comical how you attribute Iraq solely to Bush. The democrats controlled the Senate at that point in time. Tell me, did they vote for or against the resolution that sent the troops into Iraq? Regardless, let's try and focus on what's going on in our government right now. It is of little use to rehash events that happened over a decade ago to smear people who are no longer in the political theater. Stay focused!

"Either way he is going to look pretty foolish when that is used against him come election season"
---------
No, actually he won't. Not one Walker supporter that I know or have spoken to cares at all about that campaign promise. The liberals are the only ones whining about it and they would never vote for him anyway. Regardless, an easy way to mitigate it would be to throw out the fact that every key piece of legislation that Walker has passed, has been tied up by the liberals in the court system. It's hard to make good on your promises if you can't even get your legislation implemented--no?

Concerned--Did you read what I just wrote? The effects of Walker's legislation haven't had time to be fully realized yet. They will definitely end up benefiting our state when they are though.
