Check out the video. It is a slap in the face to teachers. They had to make a mock skit and couldn't even look the teachers/ camera in the eye. Very sad, just very sad.

High-performing High School teacher of the year leaves district at semester. Hmmmmm, how come the board doesn't comment on that? Or where is the story in the Gazette? No story because you would never get the real reasons for leaving anyway. What a joke. No company, business, schools etc want all high performers. They just talk the talk. They would never be able to pay them all or keep them. This board would never allow it to happen.

Distefano, maybe we can get rid of all the old teachers and replace them with chinese teachers for $100 a month. Just be careful that they don't work for those that are breaking into U.S. Computer systems.

And I wonder why Parker's teacher of the year Sean H. Is resigning at semester to move to Minnesota? I'm sure he says to be by family or something like that, but I'm sure he is taking a job in a school district and community that supports education more than Janesville. So much for retaining the best teachers! What a joke!
B.S. will be happy though because the district can save 20 or 30k by hiring a newby! Just sayin

Does anyone else notice that the school board members that are pushing these time wasting issues, are GOP supporters? As a board, political party should not play a part in making decisions. However, the same few members, including the president, continue to try to stick it to the teachers over and over. They support Walker, so they sure the heck do NOT support teachers and education in my opinion.

The bottom line in my opinion is that there are way too many political agendas on this school board. Hard to get work done when they are worried about their own political agendas.

Usaret, why do you make comments when you have no idea what you are talking about? The JEA negotiated for over a year and a half to get a 4 year deal done (the board really wanted a 4 year deal so they could focus on other things, like students and learning). The contract wasn't signed until over a year passed the previous contract and long before ACT 10. Get your facts straight before you make ignorant comments.

Bottom line, Act 10 is not working and never will. How's Milton's budget?
