On Bible incident draws concerns

Can't you argue a point without guessing where a person is, what they are doing? Ridiculous. People are always going "you're at work, you shouldn't be on here" or "you're in school". Worry about your own life.

Why are they messing around with a snake? It's their job. It was obviously a neglected and abandoned pet. Snakes DO serve a purpose in the world, as do what you would probably consider other 'undesirable and disgusting' creatures. What a way to describe one of nature's wonders.
Anyway, the Humane Society is a non-profit organization, and runs off donations. They also don't know there's a problem unless it's reported. So, why not volunteer with them, donate some money, and quit complaining about the great job they do?

I don't think 10 is young. My daughters tell me everything, and I am stunned at what is said and done in the grade schools, even.
I have already talked about sex and drugs with my kids, honestly and openly. They come to me with the most mature questions, and I answer them the best I can.

Snow is nothing new....it kinda happens every year. You'd think after (ahem) a couple of years of snowfalls, you'd get the hang of properly removing it.

I knew Tim. Of course what happened was awful, but to derive a psychological diagnosis out of an article in the paper is impossible. All these shrink-wannabe's should just hope a tragedy like this doesn't visit your family.

Exactly, Starboy.
Let's hope none of the people judging him ever are judged for the things they do. Nobody is perfect.

These things prey on the people that have little hope, giving them false hope to brighten their lives.
Since we have the Publishers' Clearing House, folks think that 'it could happen to them'. I see it all the time.
I received a check just like this and turned it into the bank to let them know they may see more like it.

Just want to keep it going, huh? There are two, count 'em, two, state vans. We can choose to either park at K-Mart in Janesville, or at Telfer Park in Beloit. We pay a monthly fee because in Madison and the surrounding areas, you need to pay to park.
Yes, it would be heck to commute, if I drove myself. But thanks so much for your concern.

On Talking dope to your kids: Tell it like it was

Hey, Edubs, I know!
I don't know what the answer is.....when I was a kid, I got spanked when I messed up, and yuo can bet I didn't do it again. Now, the school tells the kids if the parents 'spank' them to call 911. Then CPS is involved and you have 'child abuse'.
There is a difference between abuse and discipline. And I think because we aren't allowed to discipline our kids today, it shows.
