Love it! Congrats on your island. That spider was too creepy for me, though.

John, you seem a bit obsessed over someone you can't even vote for. I think there is more to YOUR story. It looks like you are bullying/harassing him. I can't vote for (or against) him either, so it makes no difference to me. Just wanting to point out how you are coming across to the readers.

On Culver's customer service

Gotta say, we also had some great customer service at Culver's last Friday night. We were probably dealing with the same girl. Very sweet and helpful. We love the shopping cart guy at Target. He works his buns off and is always courteous. And customer service at Menard's has improved. We were there after our trip to Culver's last week and two different men on forklifts made sure to stop and ask if we needed anything. The guy on the one outside actually stopped, dropped his forks, and hopped off in order to help us. I was impressed.
.

Sounds like maybe customer service is turning around? I'm thrilled to see all the positive comments here and experience it myself.

I appreciate Michelle Obama for this. I agree with her that we should educate ourselves about our food. I also appreciate that she chooses family over career.

I feel bad for the football players that worked hard to get those wins between the years of 98-11. I feel it is unfair to punish them for the sins of the higher-ups. But. It's not up to me and yes, an example is being made here.

On Magnolia barred from beefing up farm water rules

Know what, Brodheadnative? I actually live in Brodhead. I know what farms smell like. I know what fields smell like in the fall and early spring. I know the difference between farms, slurry, and Larson Acres. Geesh. I do not understand why you all get so up in arms over pointing out the fact that people are worried about their water due to the FACTORY out there. It is not a "family farm" anymore. There is a huge difference. The fact that they refuse to acknowledge the difference is why I have no respect for them or their supporters.

Just because they may be good people does not mean it doesn't stink like poop and rotting carcass out there. I understand sticking up for your friends, but don't tell lies. Anyone who goes anywhere near there can smell the place for miles.

I feel bad for the rest of the residents out there that have real, valid concerns about their water.

Get an evaporative air cooler. Those are nice and not too expensive.
