There comes a time when people have to be held accountable for what they do. This type of behavior needs to be dealt with severely. It is not funny; it is very serious. There have been many students and teachers murdered by people who were not taken seriously in spite of their previous threats and we all ask, why. Find out if he really has a, “mental disease or defect”, and if he does, confine him in a place until he is cured of his, “mental disease or defect”. If he doesn’t have a, “mental disease or defect”, confine him in a place until he can just smarten up.

I will preface my comments by saying that I am not a “hunter” and have never have been a “hunter”, but that doesn’t preclude me from being a “hunter” in the future. I love animals but I am not naive about hunting. Hunters that I know love animals too, but they are true sportsmen and sportswomen. I believe them when they say that the thrill of the “hunt” is exhilarating. They don’t just kill to kill. They either eat or share their bounty. I admire them for that. Think about this for a moment. The amazing people who lived in this country before the influx of Europeans, “hunted” to survive. They truly, HUNTED. I’ll get back to that capitalized word in a minute. The settlers who explored the wilderness also hunted to survive and it is my opinion, only based on the hunters whom I know, that they are doing something that has allowed people to survive. Yes, there are some “nuts” out there, but there are “nuts” in just about every place in the world.
Okay, back to the big word, “HUNTED”. If you are a true hunter and have been a stealthy stalker for some period of time, you are a hunter. In the article, Ted Sullivan said, “But when he was alone in his deer stand east of Janesville on Saturday, Nov. 1, the white buck walked within 15 yards of him.” Ummm! 15 yards. In a deer stand! Geesh! He could have wrestled the deer to the ground. *s* However, my favorite is what Twerp13 said. “Anyways congrats on your extrodinary hunt”. Gotta love it.

On Trading Favre still the right call

I like this article written by Chris Jenkins. It may seem a bit blunt, but it is true.
The Packers said no to a future Hall of Famer, but I agree with the statement: “They also were waving goodbye to an unashamedly self-centered, notoriously indecisive diva with a penchant for throwing the ball to the other team.” I think Brett has demonstrated that he believes there is an “I” in “TEAM”, and that, to me is very sad, but I can’t dispute it.
I also agree with this statement. “So maybe the Jets will make the playoffs, and maybe they won’t. But either way, what happens after that? If Favre ends up retiring, the Jets must start over. The Packers were going to be in that situation at some point anyway, so getting a head start on the Rodgers era will help them in the long term.” Mr. Rodgers is showing his ability and toughness as a player now and has to be admired for weathering the off season storm that he was thrown into.
I do believe that Brett was correct about Randy Moss and I am happy that the front office didn’t listen to him regarding that advice. (gotta slide this in here…Go Patriots)
The one thing that bothers me about the loss of Brett Favre is the talk by so called Packers fans who say they don’t like the Packers anymore and will follow Brett’s new team because the Packer’s management people let them down. GET A LIFE. No athlete plays forever. If you truly love your team, stick with them.

I don't know. Maybe it’s just me, but I find it to be so sad that some of the “extremists” here can’t even speak for themselves. They seem to have a need to steal the words of others, read that as plagiarism, because they can’t think on their own. In this Blog that never seems to end, can somebody please give these people a dumb-slap and wake them up? All “Conservatives” are not “bad” and all “Liberals” are not “bad”. Hey! We live next door to each other. We have our differences in politics, religion, race, education, health care, taxes, places where we shop, favorite restaurants, who delivers our newspapers, even who we can even fart in front of, (sorry about that one) but we are all in this together. Different points of views are crucial to our existence but there comes a time when we have to decide if we are just part of the problem or if we want to work toward the solution. I understand that there is a lot of anger and I have some myself, however constant bickering and the refusal to coexist will not solve the problem.

There are so many legitimate concerns in these posts from both “sides” regarding the recent election and where we may be going as a country. There have been some posts that could be considered out of line concerning the race of our President-elect, but I refuse to address that ignorance. I WILL say that regardless of our political affiliations, we are truly blessed with the right to vote for whomever we want to vote for. In every election, one candidate wins and one candidate loses. The constituency who wins is happy. The constituency who loses is angry. No surprise there. My point is that we, as citizens and believers in the USA, must put our differences aside and work together to rebuild our nation. I know that may sound somewhat cliché, but it is truly important for all of us, probably now more since the Great Depression, to unite once again and get through this trying time. Please, whatever your feelings are at this moment, DON’T give up on the United States of America. Please support our new president-elect and God Bless America.

Wow! I guess you really love your country. NOT.
Why would anyone who professes to love the USA say something like that? That is the most anti-American thing I have read in some time. What is wrong with you? You need help.

redder: Geesh! Talk about rants! Get a grip. The USA economy is in the toilet. Mr. Obama has not even been officially elected yet, but you seem to be blaming him for what may happen in the future. Check out December 15th. Evidently your way didn’t work and the VAST majority in this great country finally woke up and said we need to go in a different direction. I voted for Barack Obama and I hope that he will help pull us out of this mess that we are in. The key word is, “HOPE”. He hasn’t even taken office yet and your negativity seems to have written him off already. Please, at least, give him a chance.
