Ll713- Just wanted to add that ALL schools are now considered for closure, not the four that were posted; The last two meetings they made it clear that ALL Elementary Schools are being considered, not the four that were being over used in the Gazette, and having the Charter Schools in these schools, doesn't mean they are being closed IMO.

Why did they choose these four schools? Monroe, Lincoln, Harrison would be better choices. Jefferson, Wilson, and Roosevelt - REALLY??!! And to ask a parent to pay $2000 for education is crazy!!! Maybe u can afford mr Joel but others can't!!!

I have to agree save Wilson, I would also like to say save Roosevelt also!!!! The two schools that should even be considered is Harrison and Van Buren if the pod system is in place. Harrison can all go to Kennedy and have a newer school. What a shame this is even brought up!

Freebird...Freebird....You just can't help yourself can you!One article you complain about the teachers/public workers being rich, now it is against the law what the caller did... What the caller did is expose who Walker really is....
You complain about the teacher/public employees, you didn't pick that career path so don't bash on the ones that did. Support them through this, they aren't asking for much now, just to have their rights not taken away.

Lets just waste more taxpayers money, this is not something that is needed RIGHT NOW! This city needs to stop spending money we don't have and start listening to the citizens. I have driven up court street hill in the winters many times, and I have to ask also, are they going to keep it salted and clear, cuz i would hate to be going up that hill with a car going down the hill at the same time, because most of time the people going up the hill can't even make it up cuz the city doesn't know how to salt/plow the streets already. The city does not need the extra expense, we already have a ice arena to pay for, which is another story!
