On Janesville's Logli store changing name
Logli has the best selection of apples I've seen. Woodman's will carry the classics like Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, Gala, Pink Lady, and, in the fall, Honey Crisp. Logli has those as well, but they also have Envy (my personal favorite), Ambrosia, Lady Alice, Jazz, Pinata, Empire, Jonagold, and others. Logli also has a good selection of soups at their deli.
On Mining bill passage disappoints Cullen
"The majority, he said, voted down an amendment that made it clear that the destruction of wetlands should be presumed unnecessary" It wasn't that long ago that wetlands were called swamps. I have some swampland in Florida to sell you. Not interested? How about some wet land, a.k.a wetland? Sure, we need to protect the environment.
On State: Why not add $30 scratch-off lottery tickets in Wisconsin?
$30 scratch-offs? Looks like the poor are getting richer if they can afford $30 scratch-offs. Just think how much richer the poor would be if they hadn't spent $547 million on lottery tickets.
On Evansville Bible group, communty efforts lead to large cross by Highway 14
The dialog here reminds me of this classic xkcd comic:

On Don’t forget yard waste pickup
Hi Greg,What number do I call to complain? Yesterday (November 27, 2012) was my normal trash day, and I put out yard waste as you described in your article, but it didn't get pick it up.
On Ryan retains seat in 1st District
"The people of the 1st District deserve representation that belongs to them, not to the moneyed and powerful special interests." --Rob Zerban So the unions won't be supporting the Democrats anymore? I highly doubt it.
On COUNTDOWN to ELECTION DAY – Part III
Mr Eyster,Countdowns are supposed to count down, not up. You should have started with part 4.
On Racism in our American political culture?
Mr Eyster,I find it interesting that you linked to Martin Luther King's speech, but still think that the gap in the number of white voters is due to racism. Remember what Dr. King said?"I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." I will not be voting for President Obama precisely because of his character (or lack thereof), not because of race. I will not be voting for President Obama because I don't agree with his policies. I will not be voting for Mitt Romney either for the exact same reasons. Try asking people why or why not they are voting for someone instead of making assumptions.
