angelwings - you have had a fantastic idea. It shows how just one person can make a huge difference. Your selfless act has brought together an entire community, an entire region, to help those who are not as fortunate as others may be. With job loses occurring all over that place, more and more people will be in need this year. Your generosity will probably make the upcoming holiday season a better one for many many families. I say BRAVO angelwings, you have shown us all how to give without asking anything in return.

I want to add one thing...I agree with ahgelwings. It is sad whenever someone loses their job. It doesn't matter if it is a Gazette employee, or a GM employee. Someone gets hurt!

All newspapers across the country are cutting back. The internet, news only TV, causes lower newspaper sale, less advertising, etc. News papers rely on the advertising dollar for their existance. When newspaper sales drop, advertising dollars drop. Please learn a little about what you're talking about before putting mouth into gear.

I will say...that when I had back surgery 7 years ago, it was a Mercy doc...I couldn't have had a better doc...also, when I cut two fingers off it was a Mercy doc who reattached them, and I once again say I couldn't have had a better doc.

I really think that the best advise I can give to anyone who needs medical help is...don't give up. I am sure an answer is just around the corner...like it was for me. Just took alot of frustration...before the answer was found.

The funnyist thing was that when I went to mercy's er, the doc there referred me to a dean doctor.
