On DNR: Dead cougar in Chicago could be Milton-area cat

Posted on April 18 at 2 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

It IS unfortunate the cougar is dead.
However, I recently read a story of two women jogging on a trail in California. A cougar not much bigger than this one leaped from brush and pulled one woman down. She clasped her hands at her throat as protection so it grabbed her leg and began dragging her back into the brush to make a meal of her. She ended up with bad cuts on hands, arms, and one leg. The second woman was brave enough to grab a tree limb and start hitting the cougar. When it turned on her she aimed for the nose as she had been told to do by her grandfather. With that the cougar gave up and ran off to nurse its bloody nose.
People take note, if a cougar can pull down a full grown woman it can certainly snuff a young child. They tend to go for the neck so even if some one drove it away, a little kid would likely bleed to death before help could arrive.
I doubt the police could have contained the cougar. They are incredibly athletic.

If it had escaped and killed someone, everybody would be saying, "Stupid cops should have killed it when they had the chance." Well they killed it and now they are being criticized for that.
I guarantee if a cougar had you cornered in an alley and a policeman approached you would be yelling at the top of your lungs, "Shoot it, what are you waiting for?"

Seems like Ron Paul is being totally ignored. Guess the New World Order bunch doesn't want him to have a voice.

On Slippery conditions in southern Wisconsin

Not everyone can justify the added expense of instaling true WINTER grade tires but they do make an incredible difference in traction on ice. I bought some because I live ten miles from the nearest town and 25 miles from the church of my choice. I NEEDED tires that gave me an advantage and I found it in some General winter grade tires. I can take off with ease on wet, glare ice and stop as well. There is no comparison to "ALL SEASON" tires.
Plus, people should take it upon themselves to clear snow and slush away from the drains. That would make a big difference with how much ice can build up.
If the city could spread more sand on the streets it would give tires something to grip on and that would help too. Thank goodness conditions like that only happen once in awhile.
Cars with an automatic transmission are still being pushed when you are trying to stop. If the transmission is in drive the engine is still pushing the wheels. On glare ice try bumping the shifter into Neutral when trying to stop. That can make a difference.

On Woman accused of stealing from a Milton church

Since the church chose to make this a legal matter it is now out of the hands of the "church". You might say the church did the right thing by asking for help to catch a thief or others might say the church should have dealt with it in a "Christian" manner by catching her themselves and then counseling her to help her with her "problem". Some would claim "coverup" if the church dealt with it internally so I guess it just comes down to which side of the fence you are on.

We all have opinions and sometimes like armpits, they don't smell very nice.

On Murder suspect found living in Washington

I do not feel the family should be held accountable for his release. I know of a family with seven children. Only one was a criminal. It would not be justice to blame the whole family for one bad son. Only if they KNEW where he was wtih a murder charge haning over him should they be held accountable. That may happen yet if phone records indicate the family knew where he was. The Winnebago county judge who allowed such low bail on a murder charge is the one who failed the system in this case.

According to other news sources this creep was in Washington state courts eight times between 2001 and 2007. Seven were traffic offenses and number eight was not listed so it must have been more serious. He is a derelict who obviously has no respect for law and I have to wonder how many other people he has harmed in the years he was allowed to go free. He lived in Washington state area for 15 years, was married out there and now will leave a wife and any children they might have had without a husband and father.

At the time of the 1988 stabbing he was married to one woman and dating the sister of the victim. The argument was supposedly over a phone bill but if a married man was dating MY sister the phone bill would be the last thing on my mind. What possesses women to date a married man?

At least now the murderous, lying creep will be returned to WI for justice.

He was stopped for a burned out license plate light then the officer noticed the name (Juan Gonalez-Pulido) on the phony drivers license he was using was suspended. So, the creep he was pretending to be was even an outlaw. I am glad criminals are stupid. Of course if they weren't stupid they wouldn't be criminals and we wouldn't be having a problem with crime. (Hopefully!)

The police in Washington state fingerprinted him because there was an arrest warrant out for the man who he was pretending to be. It was the fingerprints that nailed him. He must have left some in Beloit, or in Winnebago county before he disappeared. Makes me wish the police had a way to fingerprint every person they stop for ANY offense. If this was just a minor traffic offense with no murder charges his lawyer would probably claim racial profiling to get him released.

I almost hope I get on the jury for this creeps trial but I fear I could not hide my disgust for this sleeze ball.

I intend to monitor this case and see what comes of it.
