You're right, miltonalum. Any elected official who is actually looking out for taxpayers is definitely "green."

Of course Gableman is going to complain since he was the biggest recipient of campaign largess. But of course, as usual, the proposal is all the fault of the evil liberals who want to limit "free speech." Even asking Gableman and Ziegler to police themselves is a joke - it never will happen.
It's nice to know that now it's not just the legislative and executive branches that can be bought and sold - it's the judicial branch as well.

pudssweetie - NvGrf is not alone, it's just that the silent majority that elected Obama don't normally bother to come onto this site and whine about how the world is going to Hell. Plus, they probably don't want to be labelled communists or socialists for democratically electing the current president.
As far as remembering our history...well, we ripped ourselves away from Europe 233 years ago. Since that time, we have fought two World Wars on the same side as the country we fought for independence, and we are now allies with the two major enemies of the second World War. So maybe turning enemies into friends isn't a bad thing. You might also note that we fought on the side of the USSR, yet we did not become communist.

On Milton teachers take action

I love the school district in Milton and I have never had a complaint about my child's teachers...except about this issue. The first time I went to a parent-teacher conference and was greeted with union T-shirts and buttons, I was ticked off. I don't care if the union goes to every school board meeting and makes its voice heard, but don't force it on the parents at a wildly inappropriate time like a teacher conference. It's just wrong. I'm so glad I didn't get handed a brochure the other night; I would have exercised MY right of free speech.
I also find it childish that the union boycotted the staff picnic early this year. Mike Sheridan wouldn't have done that to Gary Malcus at GM.
