If you don't want your money being idly spent on things you don't approve of, donate the actual product needed. Go buy the packs of diapers, wipes, powder, tampons, pads, whatever and call it a day. You could also ask if they need toys, school supplies, cleaning products, makeup and hair products, business attire and shoes (for interviewing at a job), new bras and underwear, first aid supplies, baby clothes, and maybe books, magazine subscriptions in the name of the organization... It's not that hard to give if you stop looking at it as money that might be spent at McDonald's.
