On Menards mini-storage units are a no-go

Menards is a decent company, why would they block them? I'm a tax paying citizen in this city, where is my vote? Let's see.... What is the site being used for now? Oh that's right, NOTHING but a parking lot for big trucks. Five years vacant and all of the sudden we think there's retail coming in there? Come on city council think with your heads!

To a business owner, money should be money. Who cares where it comes from? American's are too busy trying to tell everyone what to do and who to love. If you believe in God, what is it to me? If I'm gay, what is it to you? If we all just learned to coexist, life would be infinitely better for everyone.

oldtimer, times have changed. The military now openly accepts gays and have this fancy thing called the internet now....seriously? I have a feeling your comment is only to get a rise out of people on here. I do have to wonder how you know so much about gay sex? It's also sad that a worldwide disease such as AIDS is still equated as a gay disease. Are the millions of people in Africa who live with HIV/AIDS deemed gay too?

youcandoit - Do the right thing and teach your son tolerance. The world is full of all kinds of different people and each should be treated with dignity and respect. I would hope you're already doing that with people of different races. Why is it so hard to do the same for gays?
Just so you know, there is no gay agenda. We just want equal rights, that's all. There is more to gay marriage than sex and kissing. It seems that people forget this. Love is love.

Oh yes, the self-righteous have all the answers. I didn't choose to be gay. Who in their right mind would choose to be discriminated against? Get real.
How many heterosexual marriages end in divorce? I heard a number recently that was near 50%. It sure sounds like the heterosexuals have it all figured out. Meanwhile me and my partner of eleven years are treated like second class citizens and referred to as dogs. Tell me where in the bible it says that is ok? This is not what Jesus taught. Jesus taught tolerance, not hate. Hate is a sin folks. I will pray for you and our great country.

As you can tell from the RCHS Boards actions, Angela Rhodes obviously had something to do with a lot of the problems that RCHS is experiencing. Including Mounds deciding to longer support RCHS. Those are the types of things that happen when you burn bridges. Mounds is still a great local company and we SHOULD support local businesses. They carry things you just can't find at the other pet stores, it would be a real shame if they chose to leave.

The truth of the matter is this. Kids go hungry in this community every day. Sometimes the food they receive at school is the only food they get all day. The generosity of strangers has helped to keep our hungry kids full over the years. Under the guidance of our First Lady, the government is trying to make a difference in our youth lives. It's a shame more of you don't know the facts about poverty in Janesville. Just because there's work out there doesn't mean parents are making enough to pay the rent and buy groceries. If you are fortunate enough to afford those luxuries, consider yourself to be among some of the wealthiest people in the world.

The US has had a presence in Kuwait since the Gulf War. It's probably a routine swap out of troops so that other members of the military can come home.

Phil Woodman is getting plenty of free advertising for his stores by the Gazette making this post and us talking about it. Silly commercial? Perhaps, but it's also marketing genius on a dime.

Wow, this actually still infuriates me. I think it has finally come to light that our own city council is part of the reason why more businesses don't come to Janesville. Brilliant! Let's block business, so less tax revenue comes in and tax the rest of us to make up the difference. If we moved any more slow, we'd be going backwards.
