On New head of troubled agency resigns

This agency is cursed! Although, considering by whom and how it was conceived, I guess this is not surprising.

DEFINITELY worth a look-see. Good stuff, and VERY reasonable prices.

Indeed. What DID happen to all the prior posts? Yesterday, it was up to 15 or so.

Ok, Dr. No, now that you have obliged your masters by repeating the soundbites as directed, how about you provide ACTUAL EVIDENCE of your claim? I'm not talking about what your 'brother in law who was in a union once' told you at Thanksgiving. Provide me with evidence that throughout unions, they are all lazy. I can't wait for this....

I never hear the people who hate unions, and who buy into the right-wing rhetoric that unions are the source of all things evil--I never hear them complain about the standard 8 hour work day, or sick days or vacation time, or overtime (I see the R's in the House want to end that). You know, all of those evil things that the evil union members actually lost their lives fighting for. Nope. Never hear them complain about THAT part of unions.

On Wis. Assembly panel approves junk food stamp bill

It's always so satisfying to see the R reps so concerned about what the poorest among us eat. Instead of actually doing something to help them not be poor anymore--you know, that "laser focus on jobs" that we were promised? Congrats, R's. You are good at picking fights with those that are least capable to defend themselves. I'm sure YOU don't consider that cowardly.

On Hometown pride: Paul Ryan speaks at Forward Janesville's annual dinner

Posted on April 27 at 4:41 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

What a bunch of CRAP! Where was Ryan on the unemployment votes? What has Ryan done for the suffering people that are the victims of what the lobbyists that actually have access to him have done? How many individuals without money actually get to talk to Ryan? Maybe the Gazette should stop their man-crush on Ryan, and start holding his feet to the fire about the PEOPLE he supposedly represents.

On Supreme Court adds step to OWI arrests

Judge Daley, and the officers in the article are forgetting that WI allows for telephonic search warrants, pursuant to sec. 968.12. I've used that procedure twice, and it works just fine. Takes about 5-10 minutes, depending on the complexity of the case. The article makes it sound like the authorities are sounding the alarm for no reason.

On Evansville residents voice support for school referendum

Posted on April 20 at 12:17 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

Wow. Nice to hear the voices of sanity for a change. Not only about restoring education as goal, even if our UNeducated governor and his party are against it. But also getting into the weeds to find things like the telephone upgrade costs. Well done, Evansville!

On DNR approval of well permit angers Wisconsin residents

Posted on April 1 at 5:01 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

The DNR is claiming the law limits them. If that's true, it would be like a doctor telling a patient, "I'll run tests to see if you have a cold, but the law prevents me from making sure you don't have cancer." Brilliant law making, if true.
