Why would you kill them? Not everyone is a murderer. Why would you want to pump the entire city full of chemicals to kill a pretty flower? Wow....people are dumb.

Anything would be better than rebuilding and repeating the same process to have it all get blown down again.

If the tornado took the same path as it did in 99 how can it be rare? The rate in which it strikes that area is far from rare.

humbird56 - A structure can be built to hold up to much more damage. If I armored my house with 1/4" plate steel angled in the shape of a pyramid anchored to concrete posts 10ft into the ground im sure it would stand a better chance than the common home... if I lived down there i'd build a pyramid....wind cant catch it. Debris would be the biggest threat.

Why would the city have a say in what goes in there as long as its legal and up to all the requirements? This is communism.

We already shovel out billions overseas. No I dont like it. And if the insurance companies are going to rebuild these houses, or the govt emergency assistance will pay for it.... we pay anyway. Take the overseas money away and put it into our country. Do I agree they should get free money? No. They will anyway. So it makes no difference. Id rather see them built correctly for the climate they live in rather than the repeated disaster year after year. Countless deaths and injuries and loss of homes could have an can be prevented. We just choose not to because it cost too much.. lol. Meanwhile we spend billions on countries like Iraq and a bunch others. What do us tax payers get out of that? The countries still hate us and want us dead. And our own citizens suffer. Giving the money to people for their home reinforcment would be WAY better than 90% of the welfare already being paid to all the deadbeats in this country and other countries.

Instead of sending billions overseas helping out people that hate us, why dont we spend the money on building homes that can withstand a tornado? These people have houses made of sticks and live in tornado ally. Duh. We learned in kindergrden about the 3 little pigs what happens when you live in a house made of sticks. What is sad is all these people will rebuild the same houses made of sticks and within a few years another tornado will blow them all down again. A definition of insanity is repeating the same process and expecting different results.....but I guess its ok if it keeps builders employed and tax money being spent.

We really have to pay to use a trail? So my tax dollars build and fund these parks but I have to pay to walk in them? What a joke.
