On Golden Guernsey files for bankruptcy protection
dal - Just like Hostess/Wonder. And many others.
On Tech vs. UW pay scale is eye-opener
And Madison bus drivers make how much??
Surprise, surprise..Maybe they should've let Dean keep it.
On Why does Milton Board President want Gazette to stop investigating?
Sleeponit - I can't agree with you more! .As far as Roy's comment- "I can tell you that no one I have talked with in the community since your last story has asked for more information. They have all commented that they are glad this is behind us and that the district can finally move forward. I wish you would do the same.".No one I've ever talked to is of that opinion. Must be just his cronies.
On Milton School District to pay $12K in legal costs in Garrow resignation
I thought that the "employee improvement plan" phrase was in the details released by the school district. Hmm.
On Milton School District agrees to pay legal fees
I'm not sure why this is in the news. This is a service that the district initiated, and like any other services, it would need to get paid. Of course they should "agree" to pay it. Yeesh.
On Quaker Steak & Lube targets former Damon's Grill site
I personally don't care for Fudds either. It's actually quite bland. (And expensive). IMHO
On Roundabouts included in proposal for I-90/39 interchange at Racine Street
For some reason, afterlooking at the proposed roundabouts, I can see somebody taking a wrong right turn and end up going on the wrong way on the interstate. With a clover leaf, I would think it would be harder to end up going the wrong way like enough stories you hear about. JMHO.
On Water rates set to rise in Milton in '13
What I don't really understand is that several years ago, they billed quarterly. Then changed it to monthly to ease the quarterly workload. Now after monthly billings, they change it to every other month to save postage. Huh.
On Milton schools appoints Rusch as interim superintendent
I kind of think this whole business sets a bad precedent. Initially it was a death and he needed time to "pursue my dreams". Next time someone has a death in the family, they'll want the same thing and on and on it could go..Then it was revealed there had been a complaint. Investigate it and move on. I've never heard of someone getting that much time off (paid) until an investigation is completed. According to him, the investigation had found nothing against him. Well then, back to work you go.
