On Council backs ice arena

Interesting that Mr. Squire and his wife were main pushers of "the most expensive school referendum in state history" right here in Janesville.

On Council backs ice arena

I have some questions.

1. Where is the reporting on what happened at the council meeting before they decided for us to partner with the group and spend the money? Was the reporter not there yet during the discussion?

2. How much will this raise each of our property taxes per year and for how many years?

3. If the group fails to raise their part of the cash, what happens then? No new rink or will the city pick up the groups part then too, since they want it?

4. If the new fire station is going to go where the current rink is, will they use the building there already or will the tax payers have to pay to have the old rink demolished on top the cost of the new rink and the new fire station?

"The new girlfriend suspected the ex-girlfriend was mad at her because she is pregnant with the man’s baby."
**
Which girlfriend is pregnant? The new one or the old one?
**
Somehow I suspect neither of them should be around the guy, he might just have other girlfriend(s).

On Should the Janesville City Council support construction of a new ice arena or spend money on the existing arena?

hannah, did you see how many streep lights are out in town? And obstructed street signs? This was posted a month ago on the city website

How much has been fixed? The speed limit sign on Afton Road I know is completely obstucted. People are going 55 in a 35 zone.

On Rotary Gardens celebrates 20 years

Posted on August 4 at 5:40 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

The section of South Randall Ave between Sharon and Palmer drive, is this being closed? This is right next to Rotary Gardens and curb was put up recently. So is this section of road being torn out for good? What will be going there in its place?

On Geese make Traxler Park not so enjoyable

Posted on July 29 at 4:30 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

Have you been in Monterey Park recently? They have the string up along the river there. The geese are still in the park, they fly in. Then they walk over to the river (which has the bike trail along it). You still have poo, not as much, but its still around. I too have seen people, with their kiddies, feeding the geese and ducks in that park and Monterey.

Have they ever discussed putting some the female geese to sleep as opposed to shotting them? Would that be more humane to those who don't like the shotting thing?
