On More fees, taxes to fix roads?

Based on an average 40 gallons/week, the increase tax would be $105/year vs. $150/year with the milage and increase in registration. Start calling your local crook (representitive) expressing your concerns NOW!

The Wisconsin al-Qaeda led by Governor Hitler is at it again, my way or no way politics. Bipartisan, what's that?

Sleeponit, Maynard, and Twerp: I couldn't agree more!!! Why punish the state of Wisconsin people for driving to work to pay for all the other stuff that Walker is indirectly raising! Just think of how much money could be raised on Friday-Sunday from the weekend warriors that come into this state if they'd just raise the gas tax or redirect the 'surplus' that he claims there will be. If Walker gets his way with this one too, he should distribute the funds to the county the vehicle is registered in for road improvements, otherwise our money around here is going to road projects in Milwaukee or elsewhere while our roads like HWY11 stays a washboard.

Wrong? Ignorant? For one, as I stated it's my opinion. two, obviously the no child left behind has left you behind and you're unaware of the current affairs on the increases I mentioned. They were on as news topics within this last week on our Madison news channels. As for being sad, you wouldn't understand looking out your ivory tower on how this economy has taken it's toll on the middle class! I did go to Brodhead Public Schools, graduated with honors so feel free to attempt to get reimbursed, and while you're doing that I'm going to ask for a referendum to have the taxpayers pay for MY bills since my income has been cut, bills keep going up but I don't want to give up eating steak, driving my Mercedes, and my 10am tee time at the golf course!

Selfish? Maybe, But daily necessities keep going up such as food, gas and utilities however the one thing that doesn't go up is my wages! I'm stretched as far as I can go and to make me pay more for something I don't benefit from is wrong to me! Other increases are in the works for all of us such as a fee for the mileage you drive, another gas tax increase, etc... So in my opinion, if I have a say in what more I can't afford to pay, I'm going to vote NO and make the district do their jobs and cut wasteful spending like I have to do in my budget!

Thanks again Gov Walker!!! I don't have kids in the system therefore I'm voting NO! One reason is I can't afford more and two, it shouldn't be my burden to pay for others, make the parents who have kids pay somehow. Especially for 4K, it's just free daycare. Charge more for sports and programs and to watch sports. There has to be other ways to get around this, especially if Walker says there is!

The school should charge parents a tuition for each kid in school to make up some of the deficit. If you're going to play, you're going to have to pay. Get rid of 4K too, it's just free daycare for parents. Putting the toll on everybody isn't right, for those who's kids have already went through the system or for those who don't have kids.

Just what Gov Walker wanted! HE didn't raise our taxes but HE is forcing the local governments/schools to somehow find the money to run thus raising our taxes!!!
On Reflecting on Burtness plans

The Burtness expansion looks great and the new location is even better, but GM's requirements I feel, will put the little small town dealerships in a bind when it comes to putting together the great deals they've been known for. Burtness in their current location has built their success on having the best deals around, probably because of their low overhead. With the cost of the new building and having to meet the company's requirements to look alike, someone is going to have to help pay for that cost and unfortunetly, I feel, that cost is going to have to be passed along to the customer wether it's not recieving the full amount of their trade in or in the bottom line cost of the vehicle. I have to say, it won't be Burtness' fault for this, it's GM's. GM should be concentrating on building quality vehicles with a lower cost instead of penalizing their dealers to be cookie cutter. Cookie cutter dealers aren't going to increase sales because of the way they look. Dealers sell because of their reputation and prices. The silver lining in Burtness new building is the new location because a good location is key to any business.
