Well I know of several people already applied for school of choice in different districts. We already lost funding because of this and will continue to loose it. Just a thought, but this extreme negative budget just did not happen overnight. Shame on them for letting it get this far for this long and then cut the teachers and people needed because of their mistakes.
On Janesville school cuts on the way

I hope that they really consider looking at things downtown and making some cuts there. I have children in elementary and middle school and I know it is already a struggle to deal with certain situations that come up with the amount of kids that they have in their classrooms. You cannot eliminate teachers, look at something else. The school district spends money foolishly. It is amazing that the commen folk can figure this out and what could be cut from the budget but no one in charge can. Maybe the top dog (women) should take a paycut.

Maybe they should start looking at jobs downtown to cut also and not just the frontline jobs. It is a shame that people who make these decisions do not see the day to day impact it has on the students and others.

How about looking down at ESC for some cuts, to many pencil pushers that have job titles that are not needed. I'm sure cutting one or two of those positions would greatly close the gap needed for cuts.

I guess the district forgot all the good things that Al did for the students and how he put his effort into the students and believed in them when no one else at the schools would. I have known him for years and he is dedicated to the students, that more I can say for some of the other schools that have dropped the ball.

I agree that is pathatic if that is the only reason that he was reassigned. This is just another way for upper management to make cuts without making cuts to themselves, shame on the district.
