On Is vertical tower next breakthrough in wind power?

It is sad to think someone would spend their life savings on a design that was tried and failed 3000 years ago. The history of windmill designs and government testing has proven that a drag device such as this is not effective in producing power. There is a large difference between drag and lift devices and the potential (or lack of) power they can produce. At 36 feet you are in a wind turbulence zone created by surrounding trees (based on the picture)this is not true usable wind for creating energy. Ground drag and coefficients are something you can not reinvent or redesign. They are facts based on physics. I do not live in Wisconsin but have spent many weeks in Custer attending wind energy training at the finest renewable energy association in the Midwest. I would offer Mr. Fuller to considering taking a design considerations course where the most important thing he will learn is to stop spending his life savings on a design that will not change everything we know about alternative energy and refocus his energies and talents on something that will truely work. My apologies for being so forward but someone had to say it.
