Big tough guy, figures, anyone tough enough to punch out his girlfreind would be capable of running deer down with a snowmobile. I have high hopes he will get his in the end. Literally.

Arrg... most of you don't really get it. GM goes down in Jnsv. so does many of your jobs. Lear, LSI not to mention retail stores, restaurants, gas stations etc. Even advertising jobs will be on the line Marley. Can't really blame the average line worker, they were offered and accepted the wages the UAW thought they should have. This is not greed more like marketing.
That being said, today the huge benefits cannot be maintained so the big 3 need to find ways to reduce costs. Lifetime insurance benefits and a couple of dollars per hour seem to fit the bill. Most US employees don't enjoy free, or near free healthcare for life. Drop it and drop wages 2.00.
BTW, I saw four or five oriental persons across the street from GM with a camera set up on tripod taking pics of the GM plant. Perhaps Toyota will bail Janesville out...

The houses close to the lake that are in water were built years ago before the lake rose to it's current level. At one time this lake was but a pond with corn planted on it's edge. No one actually built 25' from the water. I believe the water table is so high due to heavy rains and even heavier snow this last winter. The table and pressure are causing the "filling" of the lake. This is a great concern to many who live close to the lake with many purchasing flood insurance just in case. Mr Schrank appears to be pumping the water on the ground which would end up pretty much in the same place as if he pumped into his septic tank as the water would leach out into the drainfield, true the drainfield would clean the water first but if I'm reading into it correctly, the water in his basement is coming from an open spring under floor and is clean water. There are also those many many yards from the lake that fear for their homes and belongings that did not ask for this problem nor build in a flood plain.

Ray Stone's link says it all, how you can pay 12,000 workers 31/hour for nothing, and if the 80/hour figure is accurate, how many 80/hr employees does it take to assemble a vehicle start to finish? Add to that the cost of retirements (which were earned) and cost of retiree health insurance wow, surprised they didn't fail sooner.

I'm with you shopiere, it sounds as if he sighted at the back of the rib cage??? what's wrong with just behind the front shoulder where vitals would've been hit. Certainly gut shot. To his credit, he did leave it lay instead of searching right away chasing the animal making recovery impossible. People do need, especially bow hunting, to practice practice practice, then when shots present themselves, take only certain kill shots. Wasting this animal flies in the face of what true sportsmanship is or should be about.

I wanna retire, I wanna play, I wanna retire. Farve was unsure, the pack needed to know what to build or rebuild for the season. Clearly Brett was holding Green Bay hostage to his uncertainty. Get on with life, get behind your Green Bay Packers or become Bears fans.
On Some say new hospital will bring pain, not relief

Let us not forget years ago when Mercy was a hospital and Riverview a free standing clinic. Mercy decided to go into the clinical buisness thereby taking some of Riverview's patient base. Mercy continued with buying out the clinic on the east side and putting in Mercy West. All clinical competing with Riverview. I never heard Riverview complaing that there wasn't enough of a patient base to justify all of the clinic's. Now Dean Riverview is entering the hospital realm and Mercy is crying foul Sounds like sour grapes to me.

I disagree with nutty, after all of the media attention given to this crime there may be a chance for copy cats. Agents protect yourselves however needed/possible.

Chances are there are two, a male and a female that the Destroyer of Natural Resourses released into the area to reduce the dangerous deer herd. Once propagated, deer would be almost extinct.
