My daughter and son-in-law live in Milton and new of the referendum and looked for it but did not see it. I wonder how many other people did not see it.

On One year later, battle lines still drawn on ethanol plant

Posted on March 23 at 9:41 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

To Mr. Schmidt, if the city of Milton actually took any of this seriously, I wouldn't be looking at an ethanol plant in my back yard. And to Mr. Bruce, sounds like the almighty dollar is more important than the health and well being of the human life, especially when it not your life. Maybe those tax dollars from the ethanol plant should be used to move your homes next to the plant, I will bet that you won't think its so wonderful then.

On Snow-day request denied

Posted on February 27 at 12:16 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

Why aren't snow days already included in the school year. This is Wisconsin, there is going to be cold and/or snow. If the snow days are not used then the school year ends that many days sooner. If they were included there wouldn't be anyone scrambling to figure out how its going to get made up, and no inconvience to those that have tight schedules with jobs and family.

On Milton commission held illegal meeting

Hey stylebabe, obviously you don't pump gas. A 5 cent savings for 10% ethanol content isn't going to make me rich. I can't even go out in my yard the smell is so bad!!

On Milton commission held illegal meeting

Posted on December 15 at 12:43 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

The ethanol plant fiasco was the town board of Milton approved the ethanol plant to be built here without first letting the community know they were considering it. They knew people would fight it. It was to my understanding that people voted in to office were suppose to be for the people. That is not the case with these Milton officials, the officials of surrounding townships
or the judge who said that the closed door meetings were ok because it was for the better of the town. If it is illegal to have closed door meetings then it is illegal, no matter what the subject is. If I sound bitter its because I am, I have that right because the ethanol plant is my neighbor.

On Program could benefit farmers who want cash for land

Good idea, I wish Milton would have thought of that before the ugly, smelly, and noisey ethanol plant went in and all these new sub-divisions. They really have destroyed the life of country living.
