On Police: Teacher also had heroin

Posted on November 19 at 7:31 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

As a teacher I am a role model to my children. I also made decisions in my life NOT TO SCREW IT UP with drugs. How do you get "mixed up" with drugs? You take/do them for the first time knowing they are dangerous, illegal or whatever and then you do it until you are hooked. I smoke cigarrettes and would be MORTIFIED if any of my kids saw me smoking even though they wouldn't probablly think anything since most of their parents probablly do also, but it's the idea of having them see me with a cigarrette. I try to be very careful and certainly DON'T SMOKE on school property; I don't even live in the same community and hardly smoke out in public anyways! Trying hard not to judge her but as a teacher it's not that easy. My career and my kids are more important (NOT TO MENTION MY FAMILY AND REPUTATION) to me than getting "mixed up" with drugs.

and by the way their birthdays match up so I think it's safe to assume they are the same people.

Whatever, between the 4 of them they have:

Robbery
Retail Theft
Neglect to a child
2 Thefts of movable property
4 Disorderly Conducts
Several underage drinking

Maybe I have some time to unwind after working all day and after reading the comments I got curious and looked them up myself. I think reading what I read about the four of them tells a lot about their character. Big Losers!
It's embarrasing to have your name appear on CCAP (mine is on there for 2 judgements against me for my loser ex-husband, 1 traffic ticket-no sticker on my plates, divorce, and one for hitting my loser ex-husband after he hit me first). But it looks as though at 18 these kids already are on the path to no good.

3:30 in the afternoon and they had been drinking!?!?! Oh but I'm sure they are good kids who just made a little mistake. They are darn lucky they didn't kill themselves or an innocent school child walking home from school. Let's just slap their little wrists and send them on their way. I wonder how many more times we will see their names in the paper for drunk driving.

On Making nice will make the difference: Parents can help kids get through a divorce

Thank goodness my daughter was only a baby when we separated and she doesn't remember her Daddy and I fighting. The only thing she ever says is that she wishes we were still married so she wouldn't have to go to his house every other weekend or so. He had 1 long term girl friend after our divorce and she and I got along well. He finally remarried and his wife and I get along FANTASTICALLY! I will even take one of her kids (not my ex-husbands) for the day or overnight! We even talk more than the ex and I. I call her just to chat and consider her my friend. I am in a healthy relationship with a great man and am glad my daughter has him as a role model for a Daddy (not to say that her own Daddy is not). I remind her that although my boyfriend is not her Daddy he is a wonderful man and that she needs to remember how much her Daddy loves her. I dated a guy who wanted me to hate my exhusband so bad that he would start fights with me whenever I talked to him about our daughter. His own parents were divorced when he was in high school and 20 some years later still hate each other. How sad.

On Shooting victim played dead so gunman would leave

That is one scary looking guy. I would have been afraid of him from day one. Should be an easy trial; 2 witnesses, text messages, guns...Prayers are with the families of those he murdered.

On Craig and Parker may close campus, for some

Pros to closing campus: 1. reduce number of students who leave and don't come back 2. reduce number of kids who leave and smoke (dope, crack or cigarettes) don't tell me this doesn't happen 3. reduce number of kids who leave and drink (again tell me this doesn't happen) 4. reduce number of kids who leave and get into altercations (speeding, fights...) 5. reduce number of students entering/leaving the school during the day - in these days where most schools have locked doors or visitors have to check in who is going to make sure that a non-student (former disgruntled student/parent...) slips in with the crowd?

So, basically the only advantages of having open campus is to help the local food joints and giving teenagers freedom? I'd like for 1 person who against closing campus to give me 3 good reasons why we should allow kids to leave for lunch.

GOOD IDEA! We had a closed campus at the high school I attended; it didn't hurt the kids one bit! There's no reason to let these kids out of school so they can smoke dope, drink, skip or whatever they do nowadays!

What I don't understand about gangs is that they are trying to eliminate their own race! Both of these gangs were Hispanic. You'd think they would be on the same side. Don't understand the youth of today. Sigh...
