On Fourth of July celebration lacks community support

I don't feel there is much point of going to the city 4th of July carnival, when our family can enjoy a free carnival with better fireworks at FREEDOM FEST the week before. The rides are free, the concert is free, and the fire works are double what the city has. Then, when we donate towards that, we know it's going to the festival and the church. It's also nice to avoid the drinking crowd.

They don't make you leave your home. We sat at the end of a road that was just across the runway. Everyone was in their homes and having parties outside. We were so close to the airshow, we could see all the ground show and could see one of the pilot's face as he flew past us. If they think they are doing a good job blocking things off, they should check again. We had a huge field to go in if we wanted to get super close.

I think this man is doing so much good for everyone involved. It's nice to hear about someone caring about our community instead of all the negative news we are used to reading. This man has made a great life for everyone around him!!! He's an inspiration.

FYI. Before judging him, realize she had 2 prior guilty convictions for DUI according to CCAP. It is sad to see these young people making fatal mistakes that is so commonly done by so many people without these kind of consequences. Both of these families are now suffering because of this. No matter who was driving, it appears they both have made this kind of mistake in the past. I hope that both families are realizing that and not blaming just him. Hopefully, we can all be reminded of not drinking and driving after these recent deaths.

They are honoring your old packages by the way. The new owners state they fought for rights to the old computer system and will honor your packages for the next year. That gives you the opportunity to go in and they will pull up all your old packages from the old computer system and transfer to the new system.

DREEC-you might consider that the ambulance and/or firetruck did not respond from the station closet to your house. They may have been on their way back from another call. It also may have been a truck from another station because the one by your house was on another call.
