On Janesville area among nation’s worst in job losses

Posted on July 30 at 1:38 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

Noname, I know it is hard on folks like you . But it is sad but true. Janesville's haousing market has taken a big hit in the last few months. Bail out? Unless you cannot afford to keep up with your payments and see no other option, it is never a good idea. Foreclosure ALWAYS does horrible harm to your credit for many years. And NO INTERNET COMPANY CAN CLEAN THAT OFF YOUR CREDIT. If a person can weather the storm, it will not last forever. I think a few years down the line and Janesville will rebound. Property values will be on the rise again and those that have weathered the storm will reap the benefits.

ihavealife, Agency laws have changed in Wisconsin. All Realtors are NOT agents of the seller. To quote The WRA'Broker Disclosure to Customers' The Broker has the "duty to provide accurate information about market conditions within a reasonable time if you(buyer) request it, unless disclosure of the information is prohibited by law."

villajanesville: Southern Scum???? Washed-up Confederate??? There are many of us who originated from the southern states who are offended by that kind of stereo-typing. Who is still fighting the civil war now???

Actually they started rationing rice at about two weeks ago. Here in the 'good ole USA'. Don't worry if you missed it because I think you may see alot more of that (rationing) before long.

You know it ticks me off that people (usually people who are the 'haves') classify the poor as LAZY. Like the poor don't work hard for what little they have. Walk a mile in their shoes. I'll guarantee you that most people who are considered poor or lower middle class work harder than most making the 100K plus incomes.
And keep quoting the wonderful government statistics.......remember they're the ones that have been trying to tell us for the past few years that the economy is doing just great!

This is going to be quite an experience for any Harley lover. I have seen the building ( my son is a foreman on the construction job)and it in itself is a work of art and architecture.

I think older people should be tested more often; and yes, I am over 60. However I've seen the damage, not only property damage but physical as well; caused by elderly drivers. Yes, it is very hard to give up that last piece of independence but the safety of the general public must be considered first and foremost.
Some say we then would be descriminating against the elderly. Stop and think about it, we descriminate against the young drivers; putting limitations on their driving priviledges for the first 2 years. Remember DRIVING IS A PRIVILEDGE NOT A RIGHT.
After my mother had her catarac surgery she got another elderly friend to take her to the DMV, she walked in on her walker, and renewed her drivers license. At that point my brother and I had to take away her car.
She would NEVER have passed a road test.

I am sincerely shocked that of the thousands of readers, only a small fraction took the few moments out of their busy lives to log on and sign this petition. Please everyone send this article and link to everyone you know. Mary needs more signatures. Can we repeat the plea in the gazette??
