I feel that the south side would make a better location for several reasons.
1. It keeps traffic away from to downtown area.
2. It would make the south side more appealing to business looking to bring that side of town (food and entertainment) Hotels would be more interested if more and more attractions were added. It would be like a chain of events. The more “class A” businesses in one area, the more people, meaning more revenue and a better chance of businesses surviving and more jobs.
3. With the loss of GM, a lot of businesses over have lost a customer base. (Pick N’ Save, McDonalds, Burger King, Family Video) People who would travel to watch the games or for the events that the hockey team/club would host would bring people to those businesses instead of to the ones on the north side of town.
4. There’s more room on the south side. The south side has a lot of prime acres that are open for people to build on. It is close to the interstate.

Craig HAS gotten the best coverage for that last 5 years. Ever since I could remember articles about Craig were more in-depth, had more pictures, and were better writen. It's about time that Parker is getting the same, or better coverage.

A lot of people take what they learn in th Catholic Church and apply it to all forms of religion. I started searching for what I believed in at the age of 16, and what I found (Redemption and Forgivness by Christs death on the cross) is what I feel is correct. Please don't apply what you learn from your experience in religion to all religion.

momo: If high school students are 'just kids', then someone should tell the schools to stop telling them their adults. Those "kids" are at the point in their lives where they will have to start making their own choices WITH the help of their parents.

really people, get over it.
Pete- the reason most credit unions and banks wont allow you to withdraw that money is because they more than likely don't have that much on hand to give out, and if one person comes in and wants a lump sum of money like that, then others would want to do the same. The reason they wanted you to apply or fill out a form is so that they can make sure that they have the money on hand. I bet you'd be ticked if some cranky person came into the bank, made a huge SCENE like you did, got that much money, and their wasn't enough for your greedy self.
Maybe you should go back to school and take a field trip to the bank so you can learn how it works.

Displacedworker, are you serious?
Why should the homeowners have to move. I'm betting that the house has been there longer than the bypass. Why can't drivers obey the posted signs to stop.

curtain call- there are teachers who smoke crack and bring drugs to school. I would be sure there are teachers who would alter test grades so they would get paid more.

1. All of the problems that we have with the economy go back to the late '70s and early '80's when credit cards and in-store credit became popular. If you look back to when appliances were more popular (fridge/freezers, TV’s toasters, washer and dryers) and easier to get because of the credit, that is when the credit problem started. The middle aged adults saw their parents buying things with that plastic money and were taught that it is ok. Now, that’s what they do. Buy stuff with that plastic money. I refuse to have a credit card because they were created to make us think that we HAVE the money to buy an item. If you’re smart enough to use it correctly, then do it. I would suggest having at least the first six payments saved up just in case you lose your job or something comes up in the first few months were you have that money set aside. (Same with any loan or credit)
2. who ever was put into office would have kept us out of another depression. If some of you haven't realized yet, but the less taxes that big business has to pay, means that they will be more likely to stay in the United States. They will have money to pay their employees a decent amount, and pay of the millions of dollars they have for loans to start the business. Take an economics coarse
3. Bush's finger on the button was the smartest thing to do. America is seen world wide as a power country; if the power country shows weakness (taking his finger off the button) it makes us look weak. It’s the same way animals in the wild work. They work down their pray until they are weak. If we are shown as weak, then we are more likely to be a bigger target. The world is seeing America at each others throats with this health care junk and they are seeing that we are weak in moral. We need to be the America we were the months after 9/11.
