On Proposal would criminalize driving drunk

I agree that drunk driving should be criminilized IF YOU ARE IMPAIRED. In my opinion though .08 is just too low of a BAC for people to be impaired. I mean what is that like 2 drinks for a 130 pound woman? So the main thing that checkpoints are going to do is make criminals out of people who went out to dinner & had a couple of drinks & who would have made it safely home if not for the checkpoint. JMO.

Hey I was just reading that Poland has passed a law that they can chemically castrate pedophiles who rape children under the age of 15 upon their release from prison. Of course the human rights groups are having a field day with this but the prosecutors are saying these pedophiles aren't human anyway so they don't have human rights. So of course we know this would never pass in the good old US but what about if it was given as a choice? You are convicted of raping a child under the age of 15 (& I mean rape, not consensual between a 18 year old & a 14 year old) you get a choice. You can go to prison for the rest of your life with no chance of parole OR you can go for 5 years with the condition that you are castrated before you can be released. As long as the perpetrator elects this choice, how can it be against their human rights?

On Walworth County Fair might add beer tent

I have lived in Walworth County all my life & gone to the fair there every year since a little girl. My 83 father will tell you that the reason the Walworth County fair doesn't (& has never) served beer is because the person who willed the land to the fair board did so with the contingency that alcohol never be sold on the fairgrounds. In recent years though, the fair board has purchased land that connects to but is not part of the original fairgrounds, I am wondering maybe they are thinking of putting the beer tent there?

But Hannah it does seem though that it is okay with you if your own friends drive drunk. One of your posts was about how you had bought all these blow-up mattresses for friends to sleep on but they all said they were okay so drove home & you were like well what could I do??? Uh, maybe call the cops like you did on the lady driving on hwy 26? but i guess these were your friends & she was a stranger so that was different?
