On Rough start

Always reminded myself I was the grownup and I set the tone. Worked hard every morning to bypass spats. Their entire day's tone is set by the time we drop them off.

I don't know what "DS time" is. And I wish I did not know your child's first name. For pete's sake, bloggers, this isn't social networking. Are you concerned about safety or privacy?

It would be interesting enough to talk about the actual empty nest, how it feels, what is different. There's a good pro blog out there by the same name which I have the feeling you have read. They manage it, and so can you.

I'm sorry, I still don't want bloggers to talk about their families' personal stuff, I still feel icky about it, and there was nothing hateful in my speech. Unless anyone who disagrees is a "hater." Pretty strong language that needs a very strong reason.

Crisp and puffy on the outside, tender and not overdone on the inside. Which means high oil temps.

I'm in the should-have-baked camp, but if I'm going to do a fish fry, I want a fish FRY! Helps that we only go a couple times a year.
Park City has good, reasonable fish fry. Hhhffffrrrg's pardon the spelling, also excellent.
Anyone know the best church fish fry in town?

I've found that herbs take at least a second season to really yield. You may have enough to share this year!
Can't garden this year, so will be vicariously gardening with you. If I had to pick a religion, it would be Compost. As in, that's what I want to become when I'm all done.
Thanks for the blog. Totally agree it's what the cool kids do. Anytime. Tell us about your compost methods!

And what happens when you do try to deal with school admin concerning a bullying problem? Around here, the bullied kid gets counseling, and the bully keeps on going.

Things I learn from reading these boards:
1. People sure seem to know a lot of details about other peoples' private lives. They must, since they seem to feel at liberty to judge victims, perps, everyones' parents and most of the community based on what they read here.
2. Oh, except they don't actually read the story before posting. So ...
3. There sure are a lot of PhDs and psychics in town.

Point missed. This plain doesn't belong here.
In fact, I feel icky.
