On Shooting victim played dead so gunman would leave

Posted on November 14 at 10:06 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

I don't believe in " eye for an eye" either....I would want both eyes! Our family has gone through this. Infact the jerk that killed my aunt and my uncle in Georgia was the last one to be executed in the US (fried in the electric chair)before Timothy McVae (sp). He was convicted in 1985 and seen the electric chair in 1997. 12 yrs he sat because the allowed him to have 12 appeals. I guess one a year, and his brother that was also involved will sit for 3 life sentance. Which the people also pay for. I think when someone hurts another human being or even an animal they should have the same damn thing happen to them as long as we have the evidence it should be cut and dry.
My heart goes out to all the victims and their families and friends. It will be a long journey.

I think you are right! get some of those inmates that might want to get out and help. I think just because they are in there for doing something wrong don't mean they don't want to change their life around and help out some. I hope a lot of people will show up and help out our community. It would be the right thing to do.

On Janesville police give tip on MySpace nude photos

Posted on May 21 at 8:54 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

I would like to know how he got these photos in the first place? Why did the young girl allow someone to take them in the first place? I'm sure if she has a MYSPACE you would probably find the same pics on her account or something close to it. These kids are going way too far! There are so many websites like MYSPACE and if you could see some of the pics these young girls put on there of themselves it is too discusting! Then they wonder why these young guys stalk them. These girls are never bashful about telling everyone where they live at either.
So you kinda wonder who is really at fault when this sort of thing happens. Both should be held responsible

I TRULY DON'T THINK IT SHOULD GO NEXT TO DEL TACO. MAYBE THE CITY SHOULD TAKE A VOTE FROM THE CITIZENS OF JANESVILLE THAT APPRECIATE IT MORE THAN STICKING IT NEXT TO A TACO JOINT!

I CAN'T BELIEVE SOME OF YOU PEOPLE! HOW MANY TIMES AS PARENTS OUR CHILDREN HAVE GOTTEN INTO THINGS AND YOU PUT THEM UP AND KIDS ALWAYS FIND AWAY TO GET A HOLD OF IT AGAIN! SOME OF YOU NEED TO KEEP THESE RUDE COMMENTS TO YOURSELF. YOU CAN'T EVEN IMAGINE WHAT THIS FAMILY IS GOING THROUGH AT THIS TIME AND IT WILL BE WITH THEM FOREVER. PARENTS ARE NOT PERFECT AND WE LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKES AND THAT IS WHAT MAKES US HUMAN.
IT WAS REALLY NICE READING ALL OF THESE INPUTS
AND GETTING TEARS IN MY EYES FOR EVERYONE WANTING TO HELP THEN I GET TO THE END I HAVE TO READ SOME JERKOFFS INPUT AND IT P*SSED ME OFF! THANKS FOR RUINING A BUNCH OF PEOPLES TOGETHERNESS. NEXT TIME KEEP YOUR COMMENTS TO YOURSELF!

Such a terrible terrible thing to happen to a young family. We too have a smoke dector that goes off while I am using the oven but after this I will never complain about it being so sensitive.
I hope the communtiy can pull together for them and help out in anyway. I too have a bunch of stuff in storage that I will probably never use or will toss out that I would be more than happy to donate to this family.
Our Thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. God Bless.

On Hanging appears to be a suicide

This is sad. Is there anything in life that can be that bad to take your own life? Prayers are with the family. I just wished they had a name listed so I would know who it was.

On Hanging reported at cemetery

to jviers it is haunted! it is even listed in the Haunted Places to visit in Wisconsin. Years ago when I was in high school a few of us had to go up there cause we were wanting to know what goes on in a cemetary after dark and no we weren't drinking or doing drugs, but after seeing what we had saw we never did make it all night! There were some really weird stuff that went on and the things you could hear. the hairs on your neck would stand on end and it was just too creepy! I have relatives buried up there and to this day I can't get myself to go alone and it has to be in broad day light and with somebody.
So back to this story...did they infact find someone? It would be nice to know. The Gazette & the police always leaves us to wonder. There has always been strange things that has happened in that cemetary.

On More than 750 jobs expected to be lost as GM plant drops to one shift

Posted on April 29 at 12:04 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

It's sad to see the economy heading in the direction it's going. The company I work for is not involved with the auto industry but we too are suffering from other companies that their sales are way down. If sales do not start going back up we too will also be seeing a lay off. One of the biggest companies we deal with out of Madison has just had their first lay off...ever. Over 300 people were let go.
It's really taking a toll on alot of people and I can just imagine the ones that are going to have to file bankruptcy during all of this. People used to making $800 - $1000 /wk are going to be taking home around $360 / wk. That is a huge drop and I too never make snide comments about how much GM workers get paid cause I too would want a job that paid that much and so wouldn't everyone else. This is a time where we are all going to start suffering and Janesville residents need to pull together for one another and I hope everyone can make it through all of this. I pray for everyone who will or is already affected by this. Hold you head up and look to the future.

On Restitution ordered in Janesville damage case

So he will go work somewhere for cash and never report it and never pay his debt. I have heard of people who have done this and they get away with it. They need to figure out a better way of paying back the victim/s. $100.00/month isn't nothing, it's not going to break him I'm sure. Good thing he doesn't the IRS for back taxes cause they would leave him broke for sure.
