Yep I bet the Viagra would still be covered. And as others said why is he worried about private insurance covering it, he isn't

Not to give you TMI, but I take BC now to help with my beginnings of menopause. It has helped to reduce the heavy bleeding and such, not for birth control itself...How dare he dictate to me what health care my dr prescribes...

Walker is an idiot IMO. He is going about changing everything as fast as he can, without any good reasoning behind it... especially changing things if a Dem thought it was a good idea. This man is beginning to scare the crap out of me. Power hungry doesn't seem to be a strong enough term to describe him.

Birth control is a much needed coverage for many women. It could be for actual "birth control" or for helping a woman to become regular and help with other "women's/monthly" issues. Why repeal a law that actually helps women be able to use their prescription coverage to better their own health? What is next no coverage for tubal ligation or hysterectomies ? This guy has got to go soon, before he destroys everything in this state.

I agree the ones who are going to be hurt with the loss of badger care are going to be the ones who need it because they are trying to be above the poverty line, but are just barely making it. I know there are the lazy ones who use the system, but they will still qualify because they have no other income, but for those who are working, sometimes 2 jobs just to keep food on the table, they are the ones who will get cut from the programs.
*
Imagine being at the 150th % or the 200% level of poverty, you are working, trying to do your part, then your health insurance gets cut. The only thing you can do is decide to chance going without any insurance and use the emergency room as your doctor OR you can drop a job and fall down to the 133% for poverty income so you can qualify again for help. It is a no win situation for these working poor.
*
I also have a question. If layoffs happen and more people go on unemployment, where is that money going to come from? We are already broke in the unemployment comp budget, and if the folks fall below the poverty line then there would be more badger care recipients...where is that money going to come from? Would it not make more sense to keep the people working (paying taxes etc...) keep them off badger care and have the state be able to support the working poor with a health care program that has been noted as a leader in the nation. Sure have a reasonable premium for the low income folks for the health care, maybe even low co-pays to help defray the costs, but don't for heavens sake drop it.

Actually we are having a hard time finding a place that is open on Christmas Eve. We would love to go out for our traditional fish fry, but most places are closed. If anyone knows of a place that will be open let me know :)

I have a feeling they ok'd this so that when it comes time for the ice rink to come back up from missing their deadline that it will also get approved quickly.
On Milwaukee rally planned about high-speed train

The train money is gone. Complaining about it now is not going to do any good. We need to move forward.

I remember going to the Amtrak grand celebration we had here when my daughter was 3... it was supposed to give us a reasonable fee to ride the train to Chicago...well at $67 a trip it lasted what 6 months before it was pulled ? High speed rail is not a viable option right now. Sure the federal government money (still our tax $) was going to help pay for it, but not the continued maintenance... fees would be way too high for anyone to use and so it would end up being abandoned...just like Amtrak here in Janesville.
*
I think for once a politician has it right, and no I do not go with any one party affiliation... instead I go by what I think is the right path and having the train at this time is not the right thing. Sure we need jobs, but in reality would 13,000 jobs be created simply by having a train from Mad city to Milwaukee... I don't think so. Instead lets get business the opportunity to set up shop here in WI and encourage growth for industry FIRST then look to the transportation issues to increase after they are well established. Let's not get the cart before the horse IMO.

hooters: That is correct the salt will do nothing until it warms up. All we can do know is hope for some warm temps to make the salt be able do its job.
PLEASE GO SLOW & be prepared for slick roads ! remember you cannot stop on a dime out there.
