Yes, there are risks to many procedures, but whether at Mercy or anywhere else, ASK questions so you can be informed as to the risks. AND, ask who is going to be watching over you in the hospital--an intern or your doctor

heartfelt, jvilletech, is this just a "feeling" you have that everything was done for this man that could have or SHOULD have been done? Or do you know the facts?

I can't believe anyone in their right mind could somehow justify a robbery by calling out desperation as a reason. If all you can get is a minimum pay job, get two. There's jobs out there if you want to work. Working two minimum pay jobs is better than landing in jail for robbery.

This country was based on freedom OF religion, not freedom FROM religion. I too am sick and tired of all the politically correct religious speak. It started a few years ago in our schools that we can't say Merry Christmas anymore. OH, be carefully, you don't want to offend anyone so now you can only say happy holidays in front of the holiday tree. I feel like Archie Bunker, but just go away if you don't like the way this country has been operating for the last couple of hundred years.
On Milton teachers take action

It's one thing to negotiate a contract in a professional manner but the Milton teachers are heading toward an unprofessional level when they stoop to these antics. Teachers are suppose to be role models and this shows the students that if I don't get my way, I'm going to pout to your parents. This reminds me of the Parker High School contract issue. In particular there was one teacher that I have forever lost respect. He had the audacity to directly say to me, "no, I will not come in early or stay late to see any student that needs extra help until we have a signed contract." I would be interested to know if any of the Milton teachers have decided they are withholding helping students outside the normal class room time.
