violet- im not sure why we have to pay, it has something to do with my daughter being 2 1/2 and not 3 so she has to go to the pre-preschool. I have just started to enroll her and we are not eligable for the free service, which is fine im willing to pay, I just dont know how much it is yet.

I see your point, but what I am trying to say is some people are not as lucky to be able to pay anything, and need a little help, if they are abusing it as free daycare, shame on them, if they truly use it as preschool for their kids, then I dont mind the tax dollars going there! I would rather see my tax dollars giving a young child an early start on education, than giving some punk free room and board at the county jail!

We are not considered low income, We still have to pay for her to go there, we just dont have the big money to send her to a better preschool like the montessouri (sp) where its $200 a week

This is not an "undercover babysitter", you must have money to blow on expensive daycare/preschooling, or your not a parent and dont understand at all! I am not in poverty, and I dont have money comming out of my ears but my daughter is almost 3 and wants to be around other kids in a "school" like setting so she can feel like a big girl, so I have been trying to get her in head start. You need to think about the kids, and not just what some stupid parent may be using the service as!
