Where is Steve Knox when we need him? Here's some information for motorists who don't really know that much about road biking. We have special shoes that clip into the pedals. These clips make pedaling easier and more efficient thus expending less energy for the cyclist. If we come to an intersection with stop signs (assuming no traffic) we are going to blow right through that intersection because it's easier that unclipping and clipping back into the pedals. The same goes for intersections with traffic lights on less busy streets. There really is no difference when we 'blow' through an intersection and a motorist rolls through a stop sign or does not make a complete stop when negotiating a right turn on a red signal if traffic is clear from the left. Everybody breaks rule of the road....everybody! Cyclists can be just as arrogant as motorists. So why let the arrogance of others bother you? Get over it and take the high road (no pun intended). Oh, and Greg, stay off the sidewalk when biking. You don't belong there. If you are that cautious about sharing the road, try a stationary bike.

You have got to be either the biggest doofus blogger I've ever read, or the most ignorant thinker around. Your posts make no sense at all. China owns Illinois roads? Wow, that's fringe! So in your weird twisted way of thinking, the money I spend in mainland China (where I frequent) goes to the roads like Michigan Ave or Rush Street in Chicago? Or perhaps the tolls that drivers pay on the Jane Addams helps reduce our federal Chinese debt? You seriously need to stop drinking and typing. It is very dangerous for the brain in your butt.

Nose4it - relax a bit. Don't take my post so seriously. You completely missed the point. Let me pose it in a different more personal context. You can tell me you have never blown through a four way stop in a nice quiet neighborhood with no traffic coming in any direction? You will actually unclip, come to a complete stop, check left, then right, then left again, get rolling again, clip the pedal and continue? Really? If that's the case, then I tip my hat to you.
