God Bless you, Jim, on your journey. Thank you for sharing this post with all of us, as I'm sure it was difficult for you.
On Lenten Journey
James, I will try to add something more positive to the comments since the first two posters didn't seem to feel it necessary. I was raised Catholic and am a believer even though I don't attend church services regularly. But Lent is a very moving time for me, I remember one particular Good Friday being in church by myself and being brought to tears by the gravity of what Jesus endured for us. Its a challenge for me to remember this when I go through my own trials and tribulations. God bless you James on your journey.
On Mounds casts off humane society
Sad! This seems like a lose-lose situation. I'm sure other people will give their opinions about who's to blame, but it's sad that it's come to this!
On Quaker Steak & Lube targets former Damon's Grill site
Any business opening is good news around here. I've never eaten at a Quaker Steak & Lube but I hear it's good. I'd love to see a bakery/coffee shop/sandwich place such as Panera Bread or Atlanta Bread Company come to Janesville. That's something that seems to be lacking around here.
On Ryan gets back to reality
Tolerant Left = OxymoronYes, your guy won. But I've yet to hear any plan from him on how he's going to reduce the unemployment rate to the 5.2% he promised in his first term if the stimulus was passed. Where's the plan to cut the deficit in half as promised? After all the whining about how no one could have possibly fixed such a gigantic mess in one term, at least we'll be able to see how everything masterfully gets fixed in his second term....can't wait!
On Janesville native gains worldwide attention after dog rescue
What's up with Todger's comment?? How is the writer and her employer sick?? BIZARRE. This is an awesome story.
On How long can humane society provide stray animal control services?
Wow, that graphic with the number of animals euthanized each year is depressing. I often dream of winning the lottery and making sure the RCHS gets a new facility and is taken care of forever.
On FEINGOLD is definintely still BEST for WISCONSIN!
So let me understand, because Ron Johnson was an "immigrant" from MN over 30 years ago, he shouldn't be a WI senator? Wow, that's quite a dumb argument. Our "hometown" guy hasn't exactly been a stellar representative of his constituents, so maybe it's time for some "immigrant" blood!
Also, in regards to the Gazette's endorsement of Johnson, maybe they are more open to new leadership than the Oshkosh Northwestern (a liberal newspaper). Why does Mr. Eyster assume it was a "trick" on behalf of the editorial board? Is it that hard to believe a newspaper can be fair and not just necessarily endorse the hometown candidate? What a bunch of BALONEY!
On Janesville police arrest registered sex offender
Once a sex offender, always a sex offender, IMO. Lock em up and throw away the key.
On Dogs rescued from Rock River on Monday morning
