I say go ahead and build it.They say it's going tobe such a money maker let it support itself, If it thrives great put the money back in the city and make it more appealing to real employers who may even want to help sponser a team. They say you have to spend money to make money. on the other hand if the ice areana we already have is so popular it must be making money where'd it go, why was it in disrepair, couldn't it maintain itself?

To all you people feeling sorry for the rich don't worry 3% more tax won't break there bank. I work 40hrs plus a week and make less than 40 gs a year as alot of people do. with economy I need that tax break, it's the diffrence between meat on the table or rice. 250k a year 3% tax hike is the the diffrence might be a vacation in vegas or palm springs. Don't get me wrong we all earn or money but us little guys deserve a break too.

I get a kick of how i'm being forced to help out low income families with low-income assistance fee. thats shows up on my alliant bill now.I'm all for helping people in need but with gasoline, food, and utilities i'm getting pretty needy myself.looks like alliant is just making sure they get paid.

I feel bad for the gm workers i have family and friends there,But they atleast have a life raft of 3 years at atleast 85% wages and opertunities to retrain.I think that is why people get a little tired of hearing about gm.Who i feel really bad for is lear and the rest who are losing jobs and get no extra benifits and you read very little about them. good luck to all i hope you find the silver lining.

my poor spelling and I would hate tobe 2cents kid,i'd get beat daily for my bad spelling.
I quit commenting on here along time ago, because every time I did I got ripped apart for spelling or grammer. I'm not proud of my poor spelling but that doesn't mean i'm completly stupid, or for that matter anyone that makes an error.Get over the spelling errors and focus on the comments most are interesting even if words are spelled wrong or a period is out of place.

I think what happend to the good old days is inflation,in alot of cases both parents have to work i'm lucky my wife works first shift and i second that helps. but some parents work the same shift and the older kids have to fen for themselves. It's a shame but some parents almost have to rely on the schools as babysitters. no disrespect to them look at prices of everything. I think most parents do the best they can.
