On Wisconsin GOP blasts UW over tuition surplus

these republicans are losers plain and simple. They can't create jobs, create a "real" surplus, do anything meaningful on health care or education And why because they spend their days coming up with insults to throw at the UW System President, just like losers do.

After reading some of these comments I can't imagine why people in other parts of the state have a negative view about the intelligence of people from the Janesville area. If you disagree with someone then naturally you are either a Nazi or a socialists.

On New high school possible for Janesville district

Joy i was simply pointing out that it seemed like your problem is that the program was helping only minority students which is 100% false. I believe every child should have access to the best education possible. It sounds like your opinion or view is that white kids should be taken care of first then minority students should be given what resources are left.

Hey JoyM I would point out that the article does not mention any where that this program is for minority students only or that minority students are only getting special services. The program is for students who need more help being prepared for college. Most happen to be poor or a member of a minority group.

HandBookHarry if you did not have to pay for SNAP benefits this year how many jobs would you have created vs how many jobs would have been lost at grocery stores?

wislady the maciver institute article also did not point out that other states numbers were also revised upwards, so Wisconsin did not see a improvement in the ranking.

You have to change the culture of drinking in Wisconsin before you will see a reduction in the number of people who drink and drive.

On Is “white privilege” a fair course topic?

donna if you would have done a simple google search you would have found out that there is a "Irish Month", "Norwegian Month", "Swedish Month" , and what ever other Month you can think of. The fact that the Irish, Norwegian's, Germans or other culture does not celebrate it is because they choose not too. I feel you are some what closed minded and extremely uninformed about what you are talking about and I say that because you keep changing the subject or bringing something else up. The class that is being discussed here is not about a race or culture but about how different cultural groups in America's history had a effect on the country. FYI Thanksgiving is not a uniquely American Holiday it has it origins in England during the Protestant Reformation.

hey donna my comments were in response to someone who claimed heritage remarks were unfair because traditional European groups were not given the same courtesy. As far as your remarks about the AP or other news services ignoring Polish, Irish, or Norwegian heritage events is untrue. Many papers will have picture of Saint Patrick's Day parade on the front page. The Gazette has done stores about Norwegian culture groups, including one recently i believe. As far of your comments about focusing only on what we have in common ignores the fact that where we came from defines who we are as people.
