Also, the 90 days was offered up by the school board in place of short term disability insurance. This probably actually saves the district money because unlike insurance, they only have to pay for it if someone actually uses it. You won't hear a republican bring this up though.

6824 - You are correct, weeks and months ago the teachers and school districts did not know how much money was going to be cut from education. Now that they know the republicans clearly don't care about education they are quickly finalizing contracts that include larger pension and healthcare concessions. I applaud the school district and the teachers for working together to help avoid any layoffs.
