On Former councilman asks council to step up

All of this time spent talking about Andrea and Bill, fullfill their goals and feed their egos. I now refuse to continue to talk about, or to the pair of them, until they become positive contibuting members of this city. The problem is that they have no clue what is positive or what is negative. Then again, maybe they do. I said no more talk to feed their egos and that message is now commencing. Have a great day and enjoy the sun that is now coming out.

Before everyone continues slinging mud at each other, I would like to offer a solution.
Contact Community Action, Echo, the City of Janesville, and a vast array of great service groups and agencies. Then step up and physically or financially help all the troubled people in Janesville. You that yell and do nothing to assist cannot complain. There are plenty of opportunities to make all neighborhoods better.
If you do not believe me, move to that other perfect city that you are judging us by.
By the way, the landlord paints the outside of buildings, but not all buildings are rentals. Owner occupied properties take time to rehab, give them time.
Some of the bloggers really add positive comments and suggestions, but I am betting that the majority of complainers have not lifted one finger to help, only to dial the phone number of Sound Off and type bad words and use foul language.
Be positive and lend a hand because there is no shortage of ways to help instead of complaining.

Ed Pulliam has spoke well for at the very least, my feelings about compensation and the job our City Manager has done. I have not always agreed with him, but respected him and agreed with the vast majority of actions.
After running for City Council the past two years, I did some research on the City Manager's pay packages. Mr Sheiffer’s salary is not high, it is in the middle of the pack accross the nation for cities our size and smaller. I did not check every city, but enough to understand compensation.
Something many people do not know, is that there is a shortage of City Manager or City Administrator material out there and I am not even talking about quality ones. Some cities have limped by for several years trying to find the correct person, I hope that these two people do not discourage potentialially qualified candidates.
I have known or worked with all of the City Council people now on the council and the new people coming in. I feel that they will do a fine job and we just need to give them some room to do it. Even though I was unable to attend the meeting last evening, I knew the decision making was in good hands.
Keep up the fine work and find us another excellent manager. I believe that most people understanad what we need.

As Janesville moves forward on their revitalization plan, partnering with Beloit as an extension of some of their projects would jump start some of our work. Why compete, let us work together. These are situations that some of us have been asking to happen.
Now, Beloit is reaching out and giving us this oportunity. Shame on us if we kick a gift horse in the mouth.

We shop a lot at Target, but we will rethink our feelings about safety and investigate other store's policies. I will not feel comfortable in these stores. I do not think that I have to see if there is not only a security guard, but also is there a supervisor? Do I want to continue to shop there? - NO!
