Rich, I'm so glad your wife "pestered" you to do this. You are worth keeping around for awhile :) I hope you are feeling well and I wish you much health and happiness!

to the two previous commentors before mine, grow up. Scheme? I mean, really! Do you honestly think the state is going to step in and help these people? If churches and volunteers are willing to help, why waste time waiting for the state to institute a plan like this? You'll have more men freeze to death in that time than you will have helped them.
If the only thing you can think of when you say "Catholic" is how priests have abused children, then you need to get an axe to pound off that great big chip on your shoulder. Abusers are everywhere. Get real.

So, now not only is the bishop telling us Catholics how to vote-which he distastefully did and ruined a beautiful confirmation mass by doing so, he is now telling us what to read. The man is a quiet tyrant, a dinosaur, and he needs to go. He is blinded by his ambitions to go further in the church and is way to intimidated by lay people who send nasty letters threatening him with a scandal. I feel sorry for the priests in this diocese that have no choice but to obey his every childish whim.
