For many years, it was subsidized with $400,00 to $500,000 a year from the city's general fund"---------ummmmmm--the general fund is funded by our property taxes--how is it we never paid the "true" cost?

I for one am glad that constitutional issues are not settled by who won elections--we have the judicial branch to put checks into what laws are passed. (oh-and decisions shouldn't be partisan)

And why would anyone think public employees are abusing anything? I think the administors or managers making 3-4 times the avarage worker should know what's going on--if not then maybe THEY are the problem.
