On Whitewater closing leaves 116 out of work
These were, in fact, very nice jobs for many people who had years of experience HELPING people. It supported hardworking families and very GOOD people. If somebody has intention to pay something and WANTS to make good on something, we would help them to the point where we would change their lives. The problem is, however, that so many people have little intention or think they have no ability and refuse to answer the phone. Bottom of the barrel jobs? Sounds like a short sighted opinion by somebody who might have known one or two former collectors - I loved my job as well as many people that worked alongside me. Bottom line is that 100+ good people lost jobs that they worked hard at and took a great deal of pride in.
On What a great weekend to be a Wisconsin football fan
Never have I witnessed two thrilling games back to back from our Badgers and Packers. I am still coming down from my football high and am so incredibly glad we beat 'Brent' by forcing him to blow the game. Incredibly gratifying and fun to watch!

On Commission OKs southern Wis. interstate expansion
Cynical - do you drive this stretch of interstate on any sort of regular basis? If what fashion do you find this to be not necessary? It is not a matter of convenience or luxury - this stretch of interstate, imo, is a complete nightmare anytime between 12PM Friday and 10PM Sunday. I frequent this stretch of interstate and am astonished this hasn't been approved prior to today's announcement. It is a costly proposal they have approved but will prove to be cost effective in the lives it will save and the possible increase in tourism dollars.

On Vikings-Saints 'encore' kicks off NFL season
I hope to see Brett come off the turf with his earhole over his nose. Go Saints!! By the way, thekid, that is specifically why I hate fantasy football - it forces you to root for other teams outside of your immediate allegiance. To each their own!
