An "East Campus Mall" has been in the plans for many many years according to this article. It looks like this is a much bigger project than just a music hall. I also found that they have over $20 million in donor money for the music hall so far.

Pete-where does it say that taxpayers are paying for the building? How do we know it isn't being paid for by donors?

I don't know if it is right to say "Lyme Disease is the number one infectious disease..." but it does appear to be the "fastest growing infectious disease". That is supported by internet searches.

Thanks for spreading the word. 3 of 7 of our local boy scouts came home sick from a camping trip. Their doctors couldn't figure it out. Then thankfully the bulls-eye rash showed up on my son so we figured out it was lyme. All 3 had lyme, but only one got the rash, and only one (not the one with the rash) tested positive.It was our doctor's first experience with lyme.

Along with the fact that other countries don't diagnose ADHD, etc, is the fact that most other countries don't use all the food preservatives that we do. My daughter reacts severly to BHA, BHT, TBHQ, all preservatives that are not used in other countries. When we keep her on a diet that is free of this artificial junk, she is an angel. When she eats something with a preservative, she gets totally wild and angry, and cannot control herself. She happily avoids preservatives, reads labels herself to check for them, because she doesn't like how they affect her. I wonder how many other kids could have this same problem, and don't know it?

I just did a report on this subject for a psychology class (not in a UW college) and the studies I read varied, but studies found that sexual assault is rampant in our society, not just in colleges, and usually is not reported.

On Trek around Geneva Lake is one long walk

I did that hike once. It was fantastic. I'd like to do it again. The only strange part is that while by law the lake path is open to everyone, somehow a certain subdivision managed to close their portion of the path and they make everyone go out to the road and around. That part of the hike is not very nice. I have always wondered how they got away with that?
