They tried apts before and it didnt work out, I would think turning back into a hotel would be better. More tourist and people visting the armoury. I can remember when they put a xmas tree on the top and you could see it all the way down Milw st. Look what the Dury hotels do, they buy old historic buildings, banks etc and remake them into beautiful rooms, I have stayed at several and they are nice, beautifull lobbys.

The UAW and employees are resposible for GM leaving. Job Banks? they got paid and didnt even have to go to work. Sub Pay? A television at every break station that was not allowed to be turned off ever. Stupid grievances written at contract time about the front entrance not looking right. etc etc. Not being able to run the plant on Monday nights when the packers were playing because enough employees did not show up? The only plant that shut down during deer hunting. The more they got the less they did. And GM was stupid enough to go along with all this. You could see this comming many years ago. Iam 85 and am so sorry to see GM leaving.

kbunge, Tens of thousands of South Koreans are protesting the import of American beef, they only buy Kia (no other car allowed in the country), we have had approx 35 thousand troops there since the Korean war (1950). they hate Americans and yet ship there cars here for you idiots to buy and put our workers our of a job. I like the tower, was out by it yesterday. I was just curious about the leasing of the cell tower on top and where the money goes. I love Janesville, lived here all my life (82yrs) and have pride in the job the city does.

I would say local 95 you are a little late. What about the signing bonus you got on the national contract. The union broke GM face it. But GM was stupid to go along with your demands. This has been coming for years. Remember when the union said Parker Pen will never leave Janesville?
