I would be willing to put money on the fact that a lot of people are using unsecured credit cards just to be able to put gas in their vehicles due to the outrageous gas prices. Maybe if the price of fuel will stay down, some of these statistics will change.

On Harley profit falls by 37% in 3rd quarter

I'm buying another Harley as soon as I pay off my car, so there. And my bike is in my living room so she keeps warm, lol. She's never going anywhere. I just couldn't give up something that is so pleasurable and doesn't rag every day. :)

With that being said, Harley is good at what they do, like spark said. And their sales aren't just from selling motorcycles. Have you seen the prices just for a stupid t-shirt over at Kutter's lately? It wouldn't surprise me in the least if a large chunk of their profits were just from clothing and accessories. I wouldn't worry too much about them.

Perfect example of what he was thrown in jail for, a victim of his own complaint. What a bunch of crap. So much for his freedom of speech.

This guy amazes me every time I see him. I always enjoy seeing him opening doors for people as I visit the center ave store frequently. There are a few other common faces I see there that are very friendly also.

I have to agree with pwrtrip. None of those 'greedy republicans' got where they are by having everything handed to them. I think too many people 'expect' to be given everything instead of finding a means to go out and earn it. If you don't like your situation, change it. No one has the power to do it but yourself, end of story.

On Drunk drivers to be targeted

thekid3477.... As you note, the punishment obviously isn't sufficient to those people, just as you stated. However, now we're talking about a class of people that could care less about anything, much less spending time in jail. Sometimes life isn't fair and we can't punish those who could care less. Those people have nothing to lose.
For someone like me, I've got a life. I've got a 4 year old daughter, a good job, good credit, and nice things. I would like to keep it that way. The threat of going to jail for 90 days or more and having to pay more money than I can afford is sure enough punishment for me not to drink and drive. I've got too much to lose, as do I'm sure most people. Unfortunately, there will always be those people out there with nothing to lose, so they just don't care.
