sarac53545,
It was not "JPD" that let him out "again" it is the court system. JPD arrested him and put him in the rock county jail pending a court hearing. The court system then does there thing and according to many that post here EVERYBODY should stay in jail. I guess we need a bigger jail. When accussing you should take some time to understand what you are saying.
On Three-car accident involves Delavan squad

It is so typical that whenever the paper prints a story of a Police Officer involved in a crash that some uninformed know it all makes the comment "if it was anyone else they would get a ticket" comment. It simply is not true that the police always get a break and citizens dont. There are plenty of people some reading this, that have been in accidents and didnt get cited. It just doesnt get printed in the paper everytime it happens like it does with a police Officer. Police Officers if anything are held to a greater standard in the publics eyes and obvoiusly from reading the comments posted are supposed to be perfect drivers that don't ever get involved in accidents. Not only do Oficers get tickets but then they get reprimanded by thier supervisor also. How many of you get a ticket and get in trouble with your boss when you cause an accident? Police Officers drive in cars for a living. They spend more time behind the wheel during there lives than most people do. I guess this would probably increase there chances of being involved in a car crash. The officer was marked at fault the city insurance will pay for the victims car. Like viper said I would like to see the stats, Because all you whiners below would be surprised. I've seen officers get cited for something that a citizen probably wouldnt have been cited for just because the supervision wanted to avoid the apperance that the officer was getting special treatment. Now I know why after reading all of those un-informed angry citizen comments.

I probably shouldnt get going on this, but the problem is the Unions. They hold the employer hostage. The union demands and gets outrages wages for low skill jobs not to mention the health care benifits etc. The union protects all employees including those that are an embarssment to the good hard working employees. The employer has to charge more for their product to help pay the employee. There is no way we can go back to more reasonable wages so eventually the company will not survive and all those over paid employees will have no income instead of a reasonable income that lets the company be competitive.
On Janesville residents feel city is adrift when it comes to snow policies

I just want to tell the city crew they do a good job on the roads. And to those that think it's the citys responsibility to make sure they can get to the mail box, give me a break! I've always known it was my responsibility to clear that snow. It sounds like the complainers expect things to be perfect thats just not going to happen get over it.

On Curfew sweep nets seven tickets
Posted on June 13 at 5:17 a.m. ( Suggest removal )
The police designated several officers to focus mainly on curfew violations during that weekend. That doesn’t mean all other officers not so designated ignore curfew violations or that the designated officers will ignore other violation except curfew. They write curfew tickets all year. The "sweep" as the paper calls it was done the first weekend after school let out for the summer which is when more kids are likely to violate curfew. It's a message to the kids don't violate the curfew ordinance. Do u think that the only time officers write seatbelt tickets is when it is the “click-it-or ticket campaign? Think it through a little bit before commenting.
